I just started playing. Love the game but was confused about the moon elf’s target effect. Is the +2 damage applied to the CURRENT attack or does it apply to the NEXT attack?

So wait. Say Barbarian has 6 health and Moon Elf does 7 damage. The Barbarian rolls 1 heart. That doesn't necessarily negate damage - Does it? Attack Lands and he's - 1 health. The Heal doesn't occur till after the attack or the heart prevents 2 damage? Confused on that aspect. It does say damage and effect happen simultaneously so sounds like the barbarian only take 5 damage and stays alive at 1 health.

That is correct, all offensive and defensive abilities happen simultaneously! The Moon Elf's attack on its own would've brought Barbarian to -1 health, but because his healing happens simultaneously, he heals 2 and the final result is 1 health remaining.

​@@DiceThrone Interesting... I would have assumed the remaining health would have been zero, resulting in death. He's at 6 health, she does 7 damage, he heals for 1. Since it's simultaneous, she technically does 6 damage which would leave him at zero health = death.

Start with 4, then draw 1 during your upkeep phase. So if you're the second player you will have 5 cards on your first turn.
