Be sure to check the video's description, as I answer questions in it in regards to what software I'm using and also why I presented this in this manner. Hope this is a bit of a help to those just wanting to get in, get a character made, and get playing.

This video came at a great time! I tried to make a character with one of my players but they didn’t understand anything they were doing. This clears a lot of our questions up! Thanks!

I'm really glad to hear this helped. I wasn't aiming to do anything more than make it a bit easier to navigate and understand. Hearing that's exactly what happened is awesome.

Thank you for this video! I'm a pretty new GM (I've mastered only few oneshots in DnD) and I'll bring RED to the table as me and my friends complete our current DnD campaign. This one and all your videos are really usefull to me, because it's a little bit difficult preparing a campaign for the first time in a new game system. But I love everything about this manual, I can't wait to play with it!

I highly recommend using the gig at the back of Easy Mode for your first run. It can play out so many ways, had my own players go into the fights swinging and quickly realizing diving in like that is a bad idea.

Up and down I recommend Getting Paid from the Easy Mode booklet. We had a ball doing it, my players earned a good $10,000EB. It let them get a feel for the game and a little bit of a cushion.

Hey, Dice! This is awesome and I greatly appreciate it, but I was wondering: will you ever take the time to cover beginner stuff like this for older versions like 2020? Red seems pretty dope and all, but from what I've heard, 2020's alot more detailed and just generally seems a bit more up my alley. If not, I'm also happy to take any recommendations on folks who have covered the older stuff already. Thanks in advance!

Dear Dice... First off, Congratulations on a VERY well made, clear to understand, with all the caveats, KZbin channel.. Secondly, I must say how impressed I am to see the younger Generations pick up where some of us older GenX'rs left off before V3.0 (we don't talk about Bruno). Me and my group are extremely happy with Red, and even the Red Box set, with all the shortcuts and easy-to-read instructions... It would've brought a tear to my eye, but I had those removed in the Army.. But in all seriousness, I am a cranky-@$$ old man who doesn't like the Millennial's, (except my wife) and can't stand the Z'ers (cuz they're all my kids age) But regardless of your age, well you done good.. I showed a few of my guys your channel, and they're all in agreement.. you show the respect this game deserves, and your examples are excellent and easy to follow, so's even an old Mush-Brain geezer like myself can answer. Well anyway, keep up the excellent vids.. I'll keep watching... Now if you'll excuse me, I have to see my technicians for some baby-food and screw-guns. Late, Jason

All I can say mate is thank you. That's always been my goal, because getting into it as a new face was difficult. I stumbled over everything until I got the hang of things. So, if I can help others into it, and make it easier for them coming into it, I know I did it right. And knowing I ain't making players who've been in the game since before Red wanna hunt me down, it helps quite a bit.

Heya Dice! Aspiring GM here! Do you have any advice for people in the same boat? I want to run my own game after trying out the easy mode gig. I think a full campaign style is what i wanna do. Cheers mate excellent Cyberpunk content as always!

Use their Lifepath rolls. As much of it as you can. While Night City is a huge setting, keeping it personal will keep it from getting overwhelming. You also won't accidentally wind up overpreparing. If you want another route you can go after doing Getting Paid, peek on the R. Talsorian Downloads section. There's another free gig there that's solid called Red Chrome Cargo if you want to give yourself a little time to prep a more personal session but want to meet a weekly game. For me right now, I'm using a gig that'll be a soft introduction to one of the gigs in Tales of the Red. Never be afraid to use some of their own enemies from their lifepaths against them, even if it may not seem to be them at first. That Lifepath section is a GM's dream.

Do you only play RED, or do you also play 2020? I'd love to see some guides on 2020 if you play that

I've only got experience with Red, I've been interested in 2020 but never dug into it. I already plan to though, because it's such a good resource for stuff I can use too.
