hello and thank you by the way. if there was 3 grades of steel wool then I use the middle one. The fine is just way too fine. The steel wool for the most part is not goimng to hurt the window b ut then I do not use it aggressively either.

Thanks for your time! I learned how to do stained glass in Dillsboro NC (you said Asheville (NC?). I’ve done it on and off since then (about 40 years ago). Just getting ready to do 2 windows in a home we are building. My biggest project yet. I’ve decided I don’t know what I’m doing enough to “fit” them into the windows so I’m going to frame them and hang them inside the stationary window panels the builder will be installing. Just too worried about moisture, etc. The windows are 2nd story that will be viewable from only the main level of the house. Using a bevel cluster in the center and other bevels as well. I’m going to watch all your videos to see what else I can learn from you. Thanks so much for sharing! Wish me luck!

i know this video is old as shit, but im curious how stiff this panel is? i can see it flexing and it makes me question whether this would be durable to the elements? Or would this be on the inside of a plate glass window?

I am 3 years into stained glass! Love viewing your videos. Biggest problem is getting the sodder bead even. I get it perfect as I am doing it and then little areas go flat as it cools. What can I do?

beautiful work! thank you so much for putting together all of these informative videos. craftsperson to craftsperson: i am concerned that you leave your skin unprotected when handling patina. yikes -- it is very toxic! as a safeguard consider wearing disposable gloves. all the best to you, karen
