@ritanmartinrz8630: If you are a real fan of Delon, then you would have made the effort to ser his films. He worked in England in a movie called, "Girl on a Motorcycle" with Marianne Faithful (I'm certain you don't know who she is) directed by Jack Cardiff in the 1970s. That's when he learned to speak English. He also worked with Burt Lancaster in "The Leopard" but Lancaster's voice was dubbed. Lancaster spoke English only. Delon also worked in 3 American films, one with Anthony Quinn, the other with Ann-Margret, and the third with Charles Bronson. Yeah, he spoke English fluently because he worked in England & in the US. If you bothered to to research his filmography, then you would know the facts & wouldn't be shocked.

This always was a very puzzling 'interview ' to me. I loved Dick Cavett and was very impressed with Delon. When Alain appeared with Dick, he seemed very amiable and desired harmony with Cavett, yet, for some unapparent reason, Dick seemed a bit antagonistic during the interview. It appeared that Mr. Cavett was miffed at something, in any event, I felt he hurt the process and success of the interview. I always loved each one of Cavett's interviews, yet, this particular one, was ever a 'mystery' to me.

Mate even on a video presentation pertaining to such an intriguing, interesting and phenomenal legend such as Alain Delon, individuals still have to pull Elvis Presley ( of all people) out of their arse. Presley, essentially an uninspiring cover artist ( he didn't write one single song out of 700 recordings) is by far one of the least important factors in the evolution of music. The Beatles, Stones, James Brown, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles etc.... ARTISTS who CREATED AND COMPOSED THEIR OWN WORKS were far more influential Than a man who essentially was merely a commercial dynamic who had absolutely zero artistic value in terms of creating a sound that would actually change the course and evolution of Rock Music or any genre on various platforms for generations to come. Elvis Presley a consummate copy cat of other artists acts, was as influential as Frankie Avalon for goodness sakes.
