this was the 80s people that how bands looked back then look at all the hair metal bands back in the day they also wore heavy makeup. So just because he had makeup on does not mean he is gay.

@@adc2327 Yea,Prince and the guy from Shalamar and Andre cymone said it in different interviews that women liked flamboyant men back then that dressed a certain way and looked a certain way! And they all agreed that if that was the way to get women then they would dress that way! Plus like someone said all the rock stars did it David Bowie, a lot of rock bands wore makeup long hair and pranced the stage! And women loved it🖤

Rob iMac soooooo true. all these follks and their homophobic comments are killing me. they need to do research on the 80's (androgyny) generally and the minneapolis sound/style SPECIFICALLY before they keep posting the lameness. it's like viewing 60's (counter) cultures (i.e. mod and hippie) and making stupid observations about the hair and clothing. these were just the times. . . . those that come behind THIS culture will have LOADS of criticisms to make, TRUST. . .

I was a Teenager Lady in the 1980s and I loved that look on the men. The were sexy and I dated a couple of guys who looked like them. They were sexy and the majority of the men were not gay. Remember this was the 1980s and if you were in that time, than you would understand. However, there are going to be other people who despised that look and that is fine to do. But,for others, such as myself we loved that appearance on the men.

He was really a man's man back then! When you look at him you don't see feminine or anything you see a man even though he has makeup on it's crazy! All those guys back at that time wore makeup and stuff back then and got all the women! And don't think iits strange because the white rockers was doing it as well. David Bowie, Adam Ant bands like Kiss and others! 👍🏿 (Rock & Roll baby)

They were sexy, with make up on their faces, yet they were still masculine. It sounds crazy, but yes the majority of the men were masculine.
