The whole thing is you capture the exact moment that we all knew and he knew from the beginning that Prince was just trying to dominate them...And he left a whole trail of people that was messed up

I was 20 and 1980... A lot of bands came but the thing with the time was, the attitude and the way they dressed... nobody has never seen that before... But a lot of people found out after they made purple rain that Prince did not make Morris a millionaire and a lot of people like myself, was done with Prince after that

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Morris was nervous to begin with, let alone questions probing into the origins of The Time. I wonder if Dick new... he had to. You don't ask that many questions about one subject, unless you're looking for an answer you haven't gotten.

@@rojajorba22 I think Dick Clark knew that The Time was a construct of Prince's, assembled and controlled by Prince at the time.

I agree with you. I don't recall Dick ever probing so much into how a band came together. I think he wanted Prince's name brought up. He was going a little too hard. 🤣
