Uecker is a national treasure. Not only hilarious, but hands down the best play-by-play man ever.

Bob is a legend but he's not better than Vin . Dick Enberg is better if you count multiple sports.

I remember buying Bob Eucker's Wacky World of Sports VHS tapes. That's how we watched sports bloopers waaaay before the internets. RIP Enberg. :(

Brilliant piece of Baseball comedy and Americana. Enberg was a great announcer and he showed remarkable timing as a straight man for Uecker but like many of us he couldn't stop laughing at Bob's jokes. Thanks for posting.

Bob's acceptance speech at the baseball Hall of Fame was one of the funniest things I ever watched. God bless Mister Euchre for doing the Brewers broadcaster for so many years. I believe your the best baseball announcer of all time

anyone remember Uecker from Mr. Belvedere? Of course, im more of a baseball fan, and loved this guy in Major League.
@defiantone85568 жыл бұрын
Funny you should mention Mr. Belvedere cos I'm watching it on youtube. I always thought Heather aka Tracy Wells & Marsha aka Ilene Graff were HOTTY'S back in the day, & as I watch Mr. Belvedere now, I still do. Oh yea, & Bob is still more funny than ever, too. lol

Brewers fans are very lucky to have Bob Uecker, very lucky. I'm a Giants fan. We all love own clubs but with baseball we also love everything about baseball and all the people and players throughout the country. Americans and America are one big happy baseball family. I ❤ baseball.

Dick Enberg. RIP. He used to do the Angels’ game back in 1973 when I started following baseball.

what a trifecta, bob uecker, dick enberg, and (the mentioned) vin scully. something about baseball that leads to long and happy lives. the fresh air, the grass, the crack of the bat, the stolen base, the home run, and a double play... it's still a great game.

I’ve tried to find a radio station where I can listen to Bob Uecker call a game, but I can’t. I live near Atlanta. It seems I have to subscribe and pay money to some service in order to listen to him call a game! I’m not going to do that. Everywhere you go, somebody’s trying to squeeze money out of you. It’s really sad.

It's not easy to watching this. Uecker is trying too hard to be funny, and it just is not working. He is absolutely brilliant when he is simply reacting to something he sees , hears or experiences during the normal course of calling a game. A few months ago he had a sore throat he couldn't shake. He voiced his frustration and possible remedy by nonchalantly saying,...."I really need to seriously consider removing the wrappers from those hotdogs." Didn't seem to seek out a laugh. Just said it and instantly continued calling the game. Now that's brilliant. Not this stuff.
@Pitt-ny8cj5 жыл бұрын
Uecker trying to be funny? What are you listening too? Bob just being Bob! The same here as he was on Carson 50 years ago. Bob Uecker is a treasure! Enberg interviewing him is a nice treat you are looking at 2 of the best
