I saw this when it aired in 1983, I video taped it and have watched it dozens of times over the years. Dick goes on to explain the song in his view is a work of art, working on different levels. It's stayed with me for 30 years; from a young boy to a middle aged man, and never lost an ounce of the weight it carries. It's a superb combination of sublime writing, masterful guitar and understated vocals. This one performance opened up a whole world of Burns song and verse to me, thanks Dick.

I see Dick, standing alone, in a field of heather up high in a valley with the ocean viewing at its ending. Skies alive. Singing to life. His perfect voice and brilliant phrasing and pacing; each note all calling all to assemble - listen to the poet and his Singer. Then, off with you to your daily ways.

I had hoped to find out where Dick was playing locally but was told by his manager, who was there at The Tron, Dick was on tour in the US.
