If you wanna live longer, get 10 hours sleep; if you wanna take pressure off your kidneys and liver, drink pure water; if you want better skin conditions, eat good food and if you want to get fit, exercise regularly. All these things and many more are all connected, but we don't react until there's a problem, which, in most cases, is too late!

He's right about going to sleep after the sun goes down, I semi grew up in the village in Africa before moving to the States, without electricity people naturally goes to bed after the sun goes down and they are rejuvenated very early in the morning waking up with the sun feeling strong and energized to go farming, hunting, etc. Your body will naturally follow nature's universal clock without all the lights that keeps us up in the city.

Wow this is heavy. Elder Gregory opened my eyes to something I didn't realize. I thought 8 hrs of sleep was all you need. 9 hours seems far fetched and impossible until he spoke about how electricity totally created our discourse. He said we should be in bed 90 minutes after the sun goes down. If you think that's far fetched think about a young child. A child will go to sleep 7p-8p at night and won't wake up until sunrise. That's at least 9 hrs. Makes a lot of sense. The law of nature is always a great reference for understanding. God bless our great leader 🤴🏾✊🏾

He was right about Africa. Look at their teeth. Show me an African with bad teeth. Their soil has to be 10x as rich and naturally fertilized. The farmers here in America have no incentive to make the land rich anymore, then factor in the big corporations Monsanto and even Scott's Miracle Grow. Think Round Up... like seriously those children aren't eating chips, pizza, soda, candy, etc.. some probably never seen dental floss, yet some of the poorest countries, dont have major dental problems. Absolutely amazing it truly is

@Eber Yahuan Exactly and people took it literally. Again, while people are sleeping, some are getting up 4 or 5 a.m. getting things done. Just try to think of it in different aspects. For example, working out. Most claim they don't have time to do it. Some will wake up earlier than they use to make it happen or they will let go of something to fit working out in their schedule. The statement was literally about people sleeping.

I agree with him because I have to wake up 5am everyday and I go to sleep at 11 every night because I’m told that I’m always sleeping early. I realize that I need way more hours of rest than 6 hours, I need more rest than 8 hours as well. I’m anemic and I rather fall asleep at 8:30 at night. That gives me like 9 hours which feels a lot longer and I don’t wake up with headaches. I think something is wrong with people who don’t sleep or sleep for like four hours or so. It’s not healthy and the immune system becomes weak because of the lack of sleep. I know a lot of people like that and they tell me I sleep way too much and that they just can’t sleep for that long. In my opinion, that’s a problem. How is your body healing internally? Sleep does wonders. When I get a full night rest, I wake up feeling rejuvenated, energetic and feeling like I can get a lot of work done. When I don’t get rest, im off, I feel sluggish, weak, my eyes are dim. I think that people who can’t sleep for that long have a lot on their minds, and it won’t try to stand still, because then if it does will put more stress on that individual. I know this because people I speak to that don’t sleep for much hours says that it’s things they gotta do and take care of and if they don’t nobody else will so they operate like an energizer bunny really and truly is because they wanna keep busy all the time to slow down thinking or just breathing in and out while the world just stand still. I feel like those people are chasing everything in the material world and not focusing on the internal. Idk but I need lots of time to be alone. People drain my energy. I need to recover by believing that nothing is moving and time is not even a factor. This world is crazy. The things they will have you do will take you off edge. This why everyone runs to star bucks and Dunkin getting ice coffee smh. I drink none of those stuff. Herbal tea, work out, detox body and sleep. That’s my strategy!

Sam De Roeck thank you! Why people feel the need to make a problem out of nothing behooves me. Reading and having bad eye sight is two different things as you stated. Thank you for your common sense. The world needs more of it 💯

While I was still a child Dick Gregory's statement about cow's milk and its inappropriate place in our nutrition (because it's meant to nourish a weaning cow into a 500 lbs. beast) supplanted him in my mind from the great comedian he was to the teller of great truths he became. Glad to see he had kept his humor to the end. If you can laugh at the ironies of your own life you keep your mental health and agility. I dislike the interviewer's, Armstrong Williams', constant interruptions usually just before Gregory is about to make his point. He was about to tell us what happens to us after midnight, but the moderator couldn't wait for this. Did he forget about to whom he was speaking?
@iamahebrewisarelite2 жыл бұрын
Very good interview, but you are correct The moderator is very interrupting, I think he forgot about the watchers. It hurts him as a interviewer
@mikerobinson90302 жыл бұрын
No, ur totally wrong about the interviewer. The interviewer (Mr Williams) is in a situation where someone ( Dick Gregory) tells u something & it is so far fetched from what u know or believe that u are confused / perplexed. I think the interviewers fault is that he fell into having a conversation with Mr Gregory & forgot that he was interviewing Mr Gregory. Like most listeners of Mr Gregory, we are so thirsty for his information that we get annoyed when someone interrupts him & we don't get the full understanding of his message

The repair stage of the body comes between 2-4 AM. If you don't go to sleep early enough to get into the deep REM sleep by 2AM you will miss the repair stage. Possibly part of the cause of tumors,cancers etc...

He is a brother, but MOST of what he says is actually BS. 1) God does not have to come down physically to fix the earth and when God created the earth, He did not come down physically, and he is not a Person. Biblical narration is simply an allegory 2) God made every person differently. Some are short, some tall, some need 9 hours to sleep, others need only three hours.

Sleep is how the body rejuvenates when you reduce your sleep time you reduce your rejuvenation time, sleep allows everything in your body to work in a natural way because during the day your body is in a constant battle with your conscious mind which likes to do all sorts of unhealthy things to the body.
