we have been here 3? 4? years in a row. we will probably be back next thanksgiving if you wan tto go with us. If you look on the channel you can see a complete video of the whole bloddy trail but the rest of the trail is really sorta boring (think flag pole knob)

I did this trial with my new 2023 Jeep wrangler 2 door sport S completely stock. The only option on my vehicle was the upgraded soft top from the factory. It doesn't not have the LSD option, so open diffs and highway factory tires. I took the hard side and I did it without hurting the vehicle or to much trouble. I was very proud and quite happy. Especially after seeing the Jeeps that were going up that. I did loose some small chunks of tires but nothing to worry about.

7:40 you can also see that he does not have sway bar disconnects that will help to keep a tire on the ground. Great video.

I moved from the west coast. Carolinas don’t have the trails we have out there but this looks like fun. Thanks for the info.

I went there with my 16 Ram Rebel with 35s and sliders, the only trail I was really able to do was Wolf Den at uwharrie and scraped my belly a few times and put some small dents in my sliders. I'm sure i could have done more and I've attempted falls dam but chickened out, being the first time I've done rocky trails like this, you definitely have to be willing to bang up your rig.

I think that should be a given for anyone intentionally taking their vehicle out in in the rocks and mud of any trail :). Yeh, its totally not a paved road with painted lines on the side of it :)

I’m surprised the BLD system didn’t kick in on that Sahara. Maybe that year doesn’t have it? Anyway, I appreciate the detailed video. I’m about to head out there tomorrow and I’m thinking about doing Dicky Bell.

This is the video I have wanted to see! I did Dickey Bell for the first time in several years last month. I took the easier bypass to the left. Question: if you dont take the bypass (stay right) ... Which way is the easier line at the top? Looks like the right side (looking up hill) has a rock crevice and a ledge to get up by the guard rail. Left side has a tight turn on a crevice where youd have to keep your left tires on the wall. Debating which way I should try first next time. I have a Nissan xterra on 33s with a front locker.

The right side gets very steep depending on how you do it. We did the right side in the JKU last time. So we actually had a jeep flip on the right side (not in our group specifically). I saw it in the campground afterwards. Anyways what i was told is that area of trail was super busy and he parked the jeep on the side (far right side) of the obstacle off camber some..... got out ... and flop :

@@corgily Thanks for the reply. I had done the right side of the trail probably 7 years ago, but it wasn't nearly washed out the way it is now. Back then I stayed right all the way and didn't have much trouble I am not exactly new to offroading, but don't typically have a group that I wheel with for reliable spotters. Just doing some youtube recon because I am looking to do something a little more challenging. Starting at the right and going up the bypass to the left was not really much of a challenge. Thanks for the tips. I could see a jeep flopping if you kept your tires in the valley of the crevice. Not sure if straddling the crevice would be easier.
@GoChangeYaLife3 жыл бұрын
Actually if you have a good spotter to tell you when, when you get right up to the big rock ledge, do a hard left and go straight towards the wall, then make a hard right and go straight up. You may or may not get a little scratch, but it's a good route. Pick a line! lol

Do you need a Rubicon to do this? Can I do it with a stock Wrangler Sport Unlimited? We have 33 inch tires on it.

Hi, love the content! I have a stock Willys gladiator and new to off roading. Do you have any modification recommendations for taking on these trails (uwharrie)or should I try them stock and learn what I may need?
@TrailExpedition Жыл бұрын
Cannot believe that is rated a 6-8 on the app! Looks like a cakewalk. We’ll be running it come April in my Gladiator Rubicon Diesel (2” lift, 37s, armor, winch, etc. How long does the trail typically take to run?

The XJ is the single most capable off road vehicle Jeep ever made. It is also in the top 5 most capable of all vehicles ever made. Not too shabby for a station wagon! 😁

You think you need lockers for this and the other difficult trail at uwharrie?
@corgily3 жыл бұрын
Dickey bell you can do without lockers. Most of the jeeps in video did not have lockers. Daniel you can do most of without lockers. Most people go up back side to top then turn around and go down Daniel skipping gatekeeper
@rachelleehrman37032 жыл бұрын
I agree. The only parts I think you really need lockers is the front side of Daniel.
