Thanks man! Yeah, I tried to explain the trail system as I went through it. I feel like there aren’t a lot of videos that do a good job of a Bearwallow trail walkthrough.

@@TrailExpedition Agree, we're trying to plan a Windrock trip for next year and couldn't figure out what we could add to the trip. It was between Bearwallow and Red Bird but I have my doubts Red Bird is JT friendly

Nice! And you’re welcome! If you’re not new to off-roading, I wouldn’t even bother with the green and blue trails. The black and double black trails are what I would shoot for. Depending on your rig and capability of course.

@TrailExpedition 9 ай бұрын
It’s literally a cheap skateboard helmet I found at a local store. The helmet rule is not enforced.
@Plinian
@Plinian 7 ай бұрын
Like most places, they’re probably more likely to enforce the rule on high volume days (weekends and holidays). The rule actually requires a DOT certified helmet.
@TrailExpedition
@TrailExpedition 7 ай бұрын
This is correct. I think it’s more for liability reasons if you were to get in an accident.
@Plinian
@Plinian 7 ай бұрын
@@TrailExpedition If I’m not mistaken, I believe WV has it codified into their state law. Either way, it’s a bit overkill for a full size vehicle that checks all the necessary boxes for on-road safety features Edit: I was also curious about helmets to see if I could get away with using my ski helmet. I’m guessing so on a slow day.

I've seen people hauled off in an ambulance more than once from heads hitting roll bars. Rollbars without helmits or at least proper restraints are more unsafe than without one. Head injuries are more common than people think

I get it if you’re doing the double blacks, rock bouncing, doing crazy stuff. But none of the trails I went on warranted having one on. I’m sure it’s a liability thing more than anything.
