It would be great to use Vetiver in combination with leucaena so that you would have a perennial nitrogen fixer that provides a high protein forage making dry season dry fodder much more digestible which would increase stocking density and therefore soil organic matter whilst increasing income streams for the farmer. Even if not used in combination with cattle the leucaena could be chop and dropped as a green manure.

Cover the slopes of the springs and water falls and streams with vetiver grass hedges up to the top and extend it further to 10 meters and plant vetiver in a contoured grid network to trap and contain water. Use rock dust powders to accelerate its growth and establishment and expansion sidewards and becomes denser and forms a biological dam. Plant aquatic mint known also as aquatica mentha to kill off any pathogens as it exudes a lingering pathogenicide.
