Such a wonderful singer, I used to dance with my boyfriend in 1963 at Romano’s Belfast to Dickie Rock , how wonderful his voice , his songs .oh I could cry from my memories Of this time, I did marry my sweetheart and had been together 63 yrs, *51 yrs of marriage And 5 beautiful children by the time I was 30yrs old .back then men and women danced together Dancing to the beat . Remember seeing Dickie and Miami at ballroom in Cashel when I was in Rockwell hotel school. Spent many years in hotels in Canada and now back in Ireland. Will visit Toronto ( Oakville) to visit family later this month. Loved Canada and Miami aswell! Best to you and your family from home!

Great work He is a legend. He is still singing. His songs were miles ahead of all the original rubbish done by Irish rock groups and country and Irish singers. The musical generation in Ireland, during the 60's and 70's, were better singers.

Right up there with the best - a great professional who is rightly revered. I once spent several hours with the man quite a few years ago when he visited Ballymena to play at a local venue. A true gentleman and long may he continue to entertain.

A truly class act; just one of many fine singers to come from Ireland. He has such a relaxing voice which gives him a uniqueness few others can match. Spent some time with him a few years ago when he visited the North for a few gigs and he was such a gentleman.
