This is not time to philosophise or even point fingers. Let's implement legal and reasonable measures to get this crime wave under control. We do not want to emulate some of the larger islands in the region in this regard.

The Prime Minister is not wrong. Grenada will always be a controversial place. Wherever there are illegal drugs, there will be illegal guns. Compared with other Caribbean countries, Grenada has a low crime rate. The problem in Grenada is pockets of centralization organizations all over the country. We cannot link this present gruesome incident to a failure of the government. There are other issues that I am opposed to in the last couple of months during the build-up to Grenada's 50th Independence celebrations. I am personally opposed to intellectual injustices that are now accepted as the norms during the independence celebrations. This is the reason why I chose to remain non-political.

@@war22down These were three individuals that escaped the prson and there was even another incident after that with another individual fleeing the court compounds. I think it is right to ask, is the government employing adequate security measures in these instances?
