@@dicodec OK. Now know there is an intro written for this song. It is called "Tales of The Destinies". It is extremely Progressive metal (Dream Theateresque) with the Babymetal twist, of course. The songs were written together and are intended to be performed together. It's gone from youtube for the most part but ask somebody for a link and then link out your reaction to avoid blockage or strikes. You guys have not even come close to hearing what the Kamiband can really do . . .and yes, all three girls on it. There is a long version from Tokyo dome (sold out to 55000 people not one but 2 freakin' nights in a row!!!) that has "The One" performed live with it as well. It was the end of the show . .. and in Babymetal fashion, there is a surprise! When concert goers entered the arena they were all given neck braces that they were instructed to put on by the video intro to Tales! . . Watch what happens. Ahhh you did our anthem🤗🦊what a great saturday. In 2013 Su, Yui & Mo were taken to the arena by their mentor Key ‘Kobametal’ Kobayashi for a J-Pop concert. One day, he promised the girls, their group would stand upon this stage, would see and hear thousands of dedicated fans singing their songs back to them. The three teenagers listened attentively to their producer as he outlined his vision for the future, each secretly wondering how such a seemingly impossible dream might come to pass. (Yokohama Arena may not have the same cultural cachet as famous Budokan but has it own place in the national consciousness, many Rock-&Metalband headlined there The Rolling Stones, The Who, AC/DC, Queen, Kiss, X Japan) 2 years on, that prophecy has become a reality. On the penultimate weekend before Xmas, the trio are back at the Yokohama Arena, not as wide-eyed music fans, but as the headline attraction on two consecutive evenings.

Great reaction, they sang this song fully english in Tokyo Dome in front of 55,000 crowd and it was EPIC, as a closing world tour. 2 days sold out means 110,000 people there With a totally different setlist each day. Maybe you guys should react to their full live concert someday. I bet Alan would love some ballads from BabyMetal, please react to No Rain No Rainbow (Legend S Baptism xx), it has superb guitar solo there, and don't forget to prepare some tissues. @@dicodec The Legend S - Baptism XX people have suggested for "No Rain, No Rainbow" is just the best. The song is VERY rarely performed, and I don't think it has been since that show. As some have warned, it does get blocked so be prepared. What I don't think anyone has said is that that performance, the guitar solo was done by Mikio who is they guitarist that died. It was actually his last performance with them, as he fell less than a week after that.

⚡ 💀 💕 / ▲ Even though this song has the most English, it's also the one official music video with subtitles. Su's English on this one is really impressive. About the only word she had trouble with is "world", with that "r" and "l" combination. From what she said after the performance, the hardest part for Moa wasn't the height. It was to stick to the choreography when she wanted to wave to the fans below. : ) This was filmed on the second of two nights at Yokohama Arena in December 2015, the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour. The video has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version. Most live versions of this song are entirely in English, even when it's performed in Japan. Recently they have been starting off with the softer "Unfinished version" before going into the full on heavy version. Also love Yui and Moa's harmonies on this one.

In my head, I would have preferred them have the ability to wave at the crowd instead of dealing with the choreography, but when I actually think it through that probably saved them from any issues by giving them something else to focus on other than the height. I hope they at least got a chance to wave to the crowd as they were being brought back to the stage.

Great stuff again. On the fox heads at that Yokohama show representing each of the girls ... you were absolutely right. When Su did her solos the centre one was lit, the other two in darkness. When Yui and Moa did their Black BABYMETAL songs without Su the two outer foxes were lit and the centre one was in darkness and when all three were on stage all three foxes were lit up. On Metal Galaxy the closest song to 'The One' has to be 'Shine'.

Yep, the stages at the big shows like this one Budokan, Tokyo Dome, and Hiroshima in the 2015-17 era were so epic. I like the big massive HD screens and moving stage thing they did at Legend Metal Galaxy but I really hope they go back to some of these traditional metal prop stage styles.

If you want to really watch one of the most awesome Babymetal performances ever you should do the combo Tales of the Destinies + The ONE, two songs that at first were thought as one played in their bigger venue ever, Tokyo Dome. I don't think anyone minds that you do a review of that performance even if it is not a reaction for The One if you take that show, also is the english version of The One (this one here is the half japanese-english). The best live version of this song is from their shows in the Tokyo Dome 2016... 55,000 sold out show's two nights in a row 110,000 in total!! Two diferent setlist each night... The One was the finale song of the first night and was the first and last time Babymetal play "Tales of the Destinies" it's a Prog-Metal masterpiece that even Mike Portnoy mention on twitter! Tales was played before The One.

The visuals in this video make me very emotional, and they fit the feel and message of the song perfectly. The slow motion scenes from Su's perspective and the girls floating above a sea of loving fans are beautiful scenes. It makes me realize how awesome it is what these girls have achieved at such a young age. The reason for the vocals being in English is that the girls were touched by their international fans' passion, many of which went through the hassle of learning Japanese just to be able to sing along with their beloved band. So they decided to give something back by making similar efforts. On the album this song is preceded by "Tales of the Destinies", which is a Prog Metal song that sounds a lot like Dream Theater. Both songs share a few riffs and melodies, since they were originally intended to be one big, epic piece. It has been played live only one at Tokyo Dome. You should really watch the performance of these two songs, even if you don't do a reaction video (which would certainly get blocked, unless you used Link&Sync or something). I'm not going to spoil it, but in my opinion it must be one of the most breathtaking moments in live music history.

The One along with Shine are two of their best songs imo, especially to us musicians who tend to recognize the true brilliance of the writing and performance of the Kami's that perhaps non-musicians don't notice as much. Musically, I love the tradeoff of the complex main guitar riff with the piano playing the same riff between verses - brilliant! "How is it that I feel happy and sad at the same time?"

I actually saw babymetal in Dallas the same week I saw band maid. It was babymetal on Tuesday the band maid Saturday. They put on a hell of a show. Avatar opened for them which I thought was kinda strange

There is a version of this where the video is edited. Visiting various areas of war and schools, beautiful job of adding even more feeling to this great toon. If you can give it a listen it is great. I don't know how i've missed this one lol The One was literally my "true" introduction to becoming a fan! I've written them off before after just glimpsing at Gimme Choco years before and only took notice when youtube somehow recommended this track to me, looped it for days and finally started exploring their discog! Now I'm a fan for a little over 3 years already, time flies by. Many already commented and suggested, but i want to give my selfish requests too! either: Starlight, Shine or Arkadia, or all 3 together, as they're named the "Trilogy of Lights" by producer Koba-Metal. cheers, the Tales of the Destinies reaction was amazing as well!

They're supposed to have a giant show coming on 10.10.2020 to celebrate 10 years of Baby Metal (google it). Unfortunately, its more than like gonna be cancelled or postponed. Would've been epic. Anyways, if you catch them in US, they do smaller shows with less of an awesome stage (but you're closer to them, and easier to see) and they do the occasional huge show where the production team goes balls to the walls and build crazy stages (like they had at the LA Forum). Keep in mind what type of experience you want, they can be quite different.
