I know this is a little off-topic, but one thing to note about Aiwass and even Touma's Angel Dragon designs is both fit the common description of what real Angels look like in the Bible. While there are human-looking Angels in the Bible, they are the lowest rank on the Angel ranking list. The highest rank Angels are more monster-like in appearance (having lots of eyes and looking like some kind of alien or beast). While Aiwass looks like the God Horus in GT2 (note the series is in the Aeon of Horus) he also fits the description of an Angel called a Cherub who has a head of a Man, an Eagle, an Ox and a Lion. While Aiwass has not shown to have an Ox or Lion head as of yet, we have seen him have both a human face and a bird/Eagle face. Meanwhile, Touma's Angel Dragon is base on a Seraphim. A Seraphim's description is a winged serpent with lot's of eyes going all around its body and is the highest rank of all Angels. if Touma's powers and Aiwass are linked to the Pure World, it would make perfect sense why both creatures look the way they do.

Depends but it's most likely Angels themselves have no real Hierarchy. From the Bible itself it seems that Angels can shapeshift into whatever form they want the Seraph and Cherubs are most likely roles and titles given to them when God gives them a task, like people pointed out before, some Angels like Micheal are described to be a Cherub, Seraph, and/or an Archangel so it's more likely that they gain these titles by what job God tells them to do; as some of the Angels in the Hierarchy were never mentioned in the bible at all. If we go deeper than that you could consider Angels to be equivalent to the Gods in nearly every Pantheon in terms of power and in class, the truly all powerful being is what they dubbed "The Lord Almighty" I believe it's "Yhwh" based on one of the Versus in Genesis. There are people who study the language & books of the Bible and it is interesting to note that early books in the Bible do acknowledge that some of the creatures we call Angels were once compared and called to be gods, most notably the Nephilim which we know to be the offspring of Angels and Humans in the original translation of the bible were actually called "The sons of gods" I do recommend watching a video about them, to say the least it's very interesting, it also made me understand through further digging that the word "DRAGON" does not only relate to snake like features with wings, but the term "DRAGON" might actually be a title given to those creatures who have reached the Pinnacle of existence, for example the Griffin might actually be a dragon since it's name closely translates to "King of Beasts" and most Angels might be a "Dragon" they can shapeshift and are divine creatures, like most dragon folklore stories. The Devil and demons described in the bible like Leviathan and Beast 666/Red Dragon were once divine beasts/Fallen Angels in the form of a "Dragon" in fact Lucifer once held the job of both a Seraphim and a Cherub he used to sing praises to God and he used to guard God, his throne and God's creation as a Cherub, God himself can give himself Dragon-like qualities and was described to have them. It makes sense why Aiwass was given the codename D.R.A.G.O.N he is divine, can shapeshift, a pinnacle of existence and resides in the original realm, It's what Aleister also calls God's realm were the truth of the world can be found.

@@hm-dq5sq The problem with that claim is that To Aru's systems are consistently derivative from the real world examples, all while the IRL Thelema movement's concept of Aiwass were heavily derivative of Judeo-Christian, Kabbalah and Ancient Egyptian syncretic systems molds into various beings which IRL Aleister Crowley identifies, this includes Choronzon too, even Kamachi's observation of Buddhism is 1 to 1 with Japanese Buddhism with the more Mahayana leaning of East Asian Buddhism to have priests can be ascended into one of the types of Enlightened being, only for the Buddhist magic god shown in the LN to be asbotaged and turned into the most powerful type of deva, which in Buddhism in general regardless of sect, is still one of the beings tied to Samsara, only that the Buddhist magic god were corrupted by his own powers and instead of became enlightened being, his status as a deva injected into applicating idol theory, and that's just segments on Buddhism which is Kamachi being heavily relied on lens of anything comparable to so many Japanese authors as part of their allegorical inspirations (but instead of Western authors often more focus on politics, Japanese authors does analogies more from concept of Theology and various cultures, but I digress) Also by philosophical outlook of religion and mythology being separate from science and modern culture are hogwash anyway, even in secular systems, so many of modern humans in real life and historically in contemporaneous sense are still using systems to numbering and even naming of Religions of old and even works on "secular" science levels, explicit evidence is from how our naming of days and months to seasons are associated and observed through humans' generational cycles, despite there's no formality of rituals among secularists, the naming and observation conventions still persists even with different shapes and forms, the need of humans to worships is innate to our brain, even there's researches on neuroscience department and more obvious of Psychology (coined especially by Carl G Jung's works are associated with it) Tl;dr Aiwass is literally a Religious Syncretic product, despite of whoever claims that it's not, it's always in-line with Kamachi's quality of narrative consistency deriving from real life concepts from Religions, cultures, sci-fi and fantasy portions which added to writes To Aru series in general

My guess for where magic came from: Some gemstone, by sheer statistic chance, was born at or reached Level 6. Their delusion, their personal reality, was that everyone could reach the level of those with talent (gemstones) with hard work (magic); Their power allowed OTHERS to warp causality, to create laws that did not exist, like how Dark Matter can create matter that does not exist. Second guess, it's all a secret chiefs' plot. Imagine if the whole of magic is just one big experiment for the TRUE science side, and not Aleister and most others who are more the anti-magic side.

Great video Maybe the PURE World only had Espers (gemstones) in it, And their AIM fields created Aiwass then Magicians came (somehow, trying to copy Gemstones) and changed the world multiple times to shape the world to their liking. Over time Aiwass ceased to exist, and Espers were almost gone till Academy City.

I actually had a theory that depended on the nature of a Level 6 Esper. Phases and Personal Reality are basically the same thing. Both are extra-dimensional realities that acted as a filter for actual reality. Following this,does a Level 6 Esper's Personal Reality cover the entire universe(since they could theoritically control galaxies), evolving into an artificial Phase? If yes,then it would explain everything. My theory is that the Pure World is the first universe that existed and Aiwass is the Will of the Universe (like some kind of a universal Gaia). The first Magic God is a freak Gemstone that went Level 6. His Personal Reality became the first Phase. Artificial Espers are bound by the rules of Science(they can't do shit like making a cold fire or creating something out of nothing),so it's only logical that an Artificial Level 6 would also be bound by the Natural Laws. But a Gemstone Level 6 don't give a fk about the rules,so it wouldn't be far fetched idea for them to create something out of nothing. So the First Magic God created the Phases for shits and giggles. He created Nordic Myths for Vikings, Aztec and Mayan Phases for Meso America,etc. That's how the Aeon of Isis came to be.

Then came the Son of God,who was most likely a powerful magician who followed the Myth of Osiris until the very end, becoming a Magic God. He then created two Phases,Heaven and Hell,and proceeded to spread a monotheistic religion centered around an all-powerful male god for shits and giggles. This was the Aeon of Osiris.

Then Humanity eventually progressed. Religion was getting more obsolete as Science became more widespread. The collective awakening of intelligence is what prolly awakened Aiwass. And seeing how the Pure World got tainted by countless of Phases he decided to do some cleaning. Collaborating with Aleister to create a Thelemic religion,a system of beliefs that relied on oneself,not on some kind of invisible god. That's how Artificial Espers came to be.

At the beginning phases were created by the rising religions(like Norse, Greece and Irish mythologies). After that, some people mastered magic of that religions and became the “Magic Gods”. Othinus started to experiment with the world and phases. It all is Aeon of Isis. After that there was the rising of Christianity, previous polytheistic gods were declared demons or fairies; witch hunts and etc. It also created some magic based on it. The Cristianity introduced concepts like Demons and Angels to the whole world. Coronzon’s image gets formed. There also are some other systems of believes that found their beginning then(like Kabbalah). Trees of Sephiroth and Qliphoth were “created” then and Coronzon’s almost complete. Later, the creation of Golden Dawn and their associated unified system of beliefs(Hermiticism, I believe it is one of the first unified ones) also played a big role on how the magician see the world. That was the Aeon of Osiris. After the downfall of the Golden Dawn new system of beliefs started to emerge. Among them the most notable ones are Enoch(with Aethyrs and Secret Calls), Magick and Thelema. Coronzon’s existence is fully explained. Academy City is formed and you know the latter. That’s my outtake on the existence of the world. Unfortunately I cannot answer who created the Pure World. Although, in NT22 Coronzon stated that she’s leaving the world for “some entities” and she doesn’t care if they are not human. Considering that Coronzon planned to destroy the Pure World, it is possible that there is a world beyond the Pure World, idk

in my opinion, maybe Aiwass is just a being created by a "god" or "a omnipotent, omnipotent being" actually behind it all based on that person and even magic or religion , Aiwass, coronzon is also actually an image of this person through Idol Theory, and a more crazy theory when I read the Blood sign and Kamachi Crossxover, there may be someone similar to the Wisdom and White Queen pair that exists. in Toaru, or the two of them themselves are the ones we're looking for, the "class of Unknown" (and this is just a fleeting thought anyway, and if you're interested) interesting, I would recommend the kamachi crossxover) !!!

Most of the Magic Gods introduced currently in the series (probably all of them) were all once humans. So I’m curious to see if Kamachi would introduce a being that was a God from the beginning. (Not sure if people consider Aiwass to be a god since he can be stronger than a magic god, but a being similar to him would be nice to see. Maybe the other secret chiefs?)

So here’s my take on this and your free to correct my if I’m wrong, but we know that phases and magic and esper abilities all didn’t exist at one point in the perhaps not so distant past of the world, and the world or universe was already there since before humanity so as far as we know the world acted like our world since aleister wants to return the world to what it used to be being ruled by science only which for some reason still slowed for humans to have powers of some kind, those being the gemstones. Now, what I’m thinking is that it leads to a few different things. That being that like how a previous comment said, a gemstone probably wished for everyone to be able to develop a power which resulted in the “untalented” humans to create magic. What I think is that all humans had the ability to shape reality by being able to impose their will on it and gemstones are probably the only ones who were born with a will strong enough to access that power since birth or had the potential since birth. Normal humans however were not born able to use this ability naturally and probably ended up developing it on accident because of they didn’t want to be left behind, in other words magic was born because everyone is technically a gemstone but potential varies, natural gemstones are prodigies and the untalented gained the power of a gemstone on accident because of either fear or jealousy, thanks for coming to my red talk and hopefully this wasn’t too unintelligible

It would make sense if gemstones worked in the same way as magic but the theories are different. They have a connection, Aiwass is evidence of that, maybe they were one and the same at some point in time. But clearly something happened that made them incompatible.

For the power systems they were created by humans themselves, magic by the ones who were jealous and didn’t want to be left behind because they weren’t born with powers like gemstones, magic created esper powers or “scientific” powers even though we see multiple instances of that not being the case

This series is littery just an edited version of Alester Crowley's documented history and legacy they left in our world. My theory is that the Pure World's AIM comes from God, bestowed to sentient beings who wished to change the world but had no means to do so. Then, the world kept acumulating phases over time given humanity's development. That's why recreating a pure world being/power/science is so hard. Each phase makes it more difficult and more repellant.
