This is a question that I got from a gentleman by the name of Tapiwanashe Motsi two days ago. Therefore, in this video, I analyze both songs and look for any instances of plagiarism.

I think it's jus the same modes that were used but the actual song that might have been plagiarized might be the one inzonzi KHIAMA by the Khiama boys

Remember Alick is founding member of Khiama where he composed some of the Khiama songs, so if its taken from Khiama then you cannot claim plagiarism, because on further investigation, you will find the sound to be Macheso's composition at Khiama.

hello sir!! i strongly believe that there was plagiarism between the song by Betty Makaya called "Ndichange ndiripo" and Michael Jackson's song "You are not alone" , you can even sing one's lyrics in the other's instrumental and it will fit nicely, i think they share a similar melody. i dont know if im the only one who think so, even translating the chorus lyrics ,the meaning is similar

A few artist record all the instruments by themselves and them their band only plays at live shows. Macheso records some of his instruments by himself ie bass and drums, then lead guitar at times. All the vocals on his records are solo performances including backing vocals. The band finds it easy to imitate what was done in the studio since they are also musicians, it’s second nature to them and so they can duplicate what was recorded in the studio with ease and practice just like what Mono is doing.

In fact,that's the production style that's common these days,that's why music producers are becoming popular more than studios these days.So 99% of all music on radio these days was played by the producers alone.
