While these were simple additions to my World at War zombies mod, I did find it very interesting that the voicelines just existed in the game files all the way back to Shi No Numa.

Call of the Dead was the first map to use pain VOX (for some reason, the only one on BO1), and then BO2 was the first game to fully use both pain & knife VOX, even on non-speaking characters.

Another cool fact: call of the dead was the only map until bo2 to actually make use of pain sounds for some strange reason. I always found that to be really odd.

@@caminherhard6927 it was supposed to be in kino, as well as the flame thrower. The quotes are still in the map, just unused.

I just realized I replied about the wrong thing, lmfao Yeah but pain sounds were supposed to be in every map in bo1, but just weren't. Only in cotd.

I recognized these sounds on the Mobile version of WaW but the fact that I never knew that it originally existed and hidden behind WaW's game files really surprises me. In all honestly with this mod, I don't find these annoying to begin with and glad that they are implemented.

Damn, that’s pretty cool; a lot of stuff was cut in WaW and it’s amazing how much is left out on like, the CoD wiki. Voices definitely seemed to change even during BO3’s lifecycle. If I recall from playing, it seems there’s certain knifing voice lines that play only on The Giant and Der Eisendrache, and separate ones that play on Zetsubou No Shima onward, and then I’m pretty sure the original Origins knifing voice lines return in the remaster. It’s kinda strange that it’s the same Primis we all know and love, but different sounds And how could we forget the noise Marlton makes when he gets hurt in BO2?

I didn't find it annoying personally, but I can see why some people would. I kinda liked it post BO2 with BO3/O4

Never really played those, did Bo3 and Bo4 do it differently? Like the vox is less often/quieter

@@JBShady yeah on bo3/4 I definitely noticed it went down in loudness. In bo2 it was pretty loud but on certain maps it was overshadowed by the background music such as mob or origins

It’s not annoying but I do remember it being on the mobile version but 0:15 was the only one same with other characters

0:38 is it just me or is the rand variable in the no Bowie knife if statement redundant, it’s assigned a random number between 0-100 and then the if statement checks if it’s less than 100, which it will be every time. Could achieve the same result without it?

correct it’s because I was testing with having it play at a random probability but decided to just play it every time😅If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

Would you consider porting over the less compressed versions of the dialogue and zombie audio that Zombies Chronicles uses?

Probly not just because it’s a lot of work, I could go for that route and update assets, but at the same time I do kinda like the charm of just working with what exists in waw. Which does include cut lines that aren’t in bo3

They did have cut death voice over lines and I added those. Normally bo1 was the first game to add those to zombies
