I'm so tired of some black people saying Obama didn't do anything for black people. First of all, the president regardless of color has a limited amount of power through checks and balances and no president can pick a certain group of people based on color and run a nation solely to benefit that particular group and them alone. He's the president of a nation, not a people. Second, Barack did exactly what he was meant to do for black people. He proved to not only America, but to the world, that even in the face of racism a black man can rise above and occupy the highest office on this land and the most powerful office in the world even as half the government plotted against him from the moment he took oath of office. He proved that a black man could remain cool, calm, collected and dignified and pull the world's largest economy on the verge of collapsing back from failing, he proved as a black man for the first time in this nation's history healthcare can be available to all, he proved a black man could kick start the housing market, save a auto industry, win a nobel peace prize, win a second term and become the most adored president of the modern era. He did it for all the world to see without any scandals, abuse of power or corruption. At same time he did it as a committed husband and loving father. This is what Barack did for black people, for a nation. Now what you as a black person or anyone do with his example to better your own life is up to you the individual. That's the best "hook-up" you ever going to get.....DO SOMETHING WITH IT AND STOP WHINING THAT HE DID NOTHING FOR BLACK PEOPLE !!!

There is a problem with this conversation. The focus shouldn't be a matter of whether back folks should think a particular way regarding sexuality. The focus should be on Pete's failures with the black community in the city he was leading. Focusing on alleged black "homophobia" is a manipulative distraction from the fact that Pete's track record suggests we may not be able to trust him.

ED. Gordon there's nothing wrong with Gayle King asking Lisa Leslie questions about Kobe Bryant and rape allegations, you can see that Gayle King had a motive. Black community not saying Snoop wasn't wrong, and he admitted his wrong. Gayle King and oprah winfrey never asked Kobe Bryant for a interview when he was alive. Why?
