I never played alot of vanilla warcraft 3 and i'm mostly custom games / dota player but i find wc3 much more fun to watch

I have played dota 2 for the past 9 years and wc3 before that. I thought Grubby was going to completely switch over to dota 2 and was very disappointed because there is very few wc3 content makers compared to dota 2. So it's nice to see him still making more wc3 content.

Claws damage does not apply to illusions... None of the green damage applies to illusions (crits are exception), just like in dota.

@@BengaIaas That is correct. Attribute bonuses apply. Direct damage items do not. So circlets and stat boosters are useful for illusions (well, not really int) and claws do absolutely nothing for them

Grubby, explain to all of us the difference between noobs(1,000-1,500 MMR), Diamond players(1,800 MMR), grandmasters(2,200 MMR) and World Champion(2,500~ MMR). According to ladder, the only two players with MMR above 2,600 are Lyn and Happy.

in customs, illusions used to only get damage increase from base damage and hero stats getting damage increase from bonus damage from things like blades of attack would be pretty damn strong!

Which funnily enough is yet again how Dota logic works. Illusion damage% is pretty high in dota because they can't benefit from crazy damage items

Different icons based on strength have been around for a while. They're still newish, but they were around before this patch.

@@ElvenSpellmaker I play on W3Champs regularly and noticed the different claws icons at least a couple months ago. Come to W3Champs. Bnet is buggy as hell and the ladder is still broken. W3 Champs is where all the good play is, and has excellent ranked matchmaking. It's a 3rd party program you download, install, then acess though the the game's main menu. W3C is even a tad more balanced because Orcs and Humans get a ×/5 worker display on the gold mine now

I'm kinda pissed of by this. Illusions were a funny spell which allowed you to confuse enemy if used well(making your hero and illusions attack at the same time almost granted it), and now it's just straight up dueling tool. I would much prefer if illusions still didn't do dmg but BM base dmg or dmg growth would be increased a lil bit instead, or maybe making his crit not 15% but 20% chance or something like that.

Does orb of lightning proc from illusions? If it does, then it's completely broken. 1 hero can perma disable an entire army, so hopefully thats not the case.

Don't illusions deal only a % of BASE damage, making claws useless for illusions since they provide BONUS damage unlike slippers and boots..? I would need to check the world editor constants if that's what it was called, you could check things there, like illusions giving auras or gaining hp regen, attack speed etc, all sorts of stuff.

kinda late, but i believe in Dota the only way to raise ur illusion dmg is through increasing ur primary stats... any other flat bonus damage doesn't count although the number appears

Honestly, I always thought. Mirror image without dmg is a fcking garbage. First, mirror image often being used to scout and tank some damage which is dumb. Keep in mind, BM is agi hero (low mana pools and mediocre HP). Second, if we use mirror image to cheese the enemy. They just can wait and pay attention to which BM that deals dmg. Making it easy to spot the real ones. Third, his 2nd and 3rd skill are way more valuable to level up on every game. Thus, the damage buff is a good thing.

doesn't it state that the images do 25% BASE damage? at least in dota it is. so claws aka the green values next to the damage range do not count. you would ratehr need all the agi items.

I think so, yes. If you get a lightning hit you do the bonus dmg, just like on summoned units.

Doesnt the damage of your mirror images only scale with extra agility? That's how it is in dota at the very least, and I think they use basic wc3 mechanics. Don't think it scales with bonus attack damage.

claws have always been stackable in my memory but i think they changed their damage ratio, it used to be +3, +6, +9, +12 and +15 now +3 and +6 have been delete and replaced by +5 i think. And by stackable i mean if your hero have 2 of them you additionate their buff.

@@krzysztofputerko1943 actually I used to be 2nd in 2's in Reign of Chaos way back in 2005, and no one did this. There were actual warm up techniques that dont artificially inflate your APM. Have fun doing that in your real matches and claiming you are doing 300-400 APM and then lose hard cuz you have probs 20 APM when you actually have to micro and not just spam click on your peons. On a sidenote about watching WC3 championships, players are trash now compared to back in 2005 so, personally dont care. Everytime I see people playing WC3 or SC2 all i see is artificially inflated APM"s and all they do is spam click their main building/worker units. That isnt real APM.
