Ok so this is the 3rd account of this incident I've heard from someone that was there all have variants, but all have the same outcome. Seagal hit Lebell in the balls and Lebell put Seagal on the ground. Settled lol. Of course there's always going to be those people that would rather believe the fictitious version unfortunately.

It's funny because everyone who was on set who talks about this incident gets the movie wrong, even Steven Lambert and the other producer who Viking Samurai interviewed. LOL everyone, including this guy, all keep referencing it as Hard To Kill, when in reality it was Marked For Death. Viking Samurai has had to correct everyone about that, noting it was Marked For Death, not Hard To Kill. I wonder why so many people who worked on the films get them mixed up? Or did they film both movies so close together all the crew who worked on the two just get them intertwined when thinking/taling about them?

Seagal was the boss, and nobody is on the set that he didn't hire. I doubt the boss was choked out, and still continued with the movie or had a film career. Harming the lead actor is a union SAAG violation, and Gene would lose his licence if Seagal lost consciousness! He wouldn't be allowed to work on the film without being checked out at the hospital.. SAAG union rules, and Studio money would be in jeopardy! Millions could be lost cause of a dumb meat head stuntman! The only person shitting his pants would be Gene if he lost his license.

Lambert said there were only 4 people who saw what really happened: Steven Lambert himself, a stuntman named Lincoln Simonds and Seagal´s two bodyguards, Lambert said that LeBell did a demonstration and Seagal hit him in the balls. Then while falling on the ground, LeBell did a "sweep" and Seagal also felt on the ground. LeBell helped Seagal up and that was it.

This story and the one from Lambert are more down to earth and both mention LeBell going behind and then sweep with hand to nuts and one or both falling sounds quite realistic. Seagal has made himself so disliked that no wonder some people want to ridicule him even with made up stories based loosely some real but minor incident.

Lebel in his prime was very good in judo, but after his competition years he held more knowledge than he was good himself due to many health complications so he could never beat Seagal when he was in his 60's, which was the time he was on set with Seagal. He used to try to get Norris to say on camera how he's the toughest, and could beat him and Chuck looked uncomfortable, but did so to maintain good relations.

Steven Lambert told the story differently. Watch Lambert´s interview that Viking Samurai did with him. LeBell didn´t choke Seagal at all. Before LeBell put his arm around Seagal, Seagal hit LeBell in the balls and LeBell felt on the ground. While falling on the ground, LeBell did a "sweep" and Seagal also fell on the ground and that was it.

I trained with three stuntmen who claimed to have been there when Gene choke Steven out and this guy story is totally different from what they said occurred. I believe the stuntman that I trained with and according to them, Seagal was bad-mouthing martial artist and Jeanne grabbed him and choked him out woke him up and choked him out again and walked away.
