As a Christian and a mother of two autistic children this was lovely 🥰 Maybe God gave you (and walked you through) this struggle so you could bless and help THOUSANDS of struggling parents of special children online!

A child with autism is not made because of sin - children with autism are here as a gift to this world, my son is autistic and he has taught me to be more compassionate, more present, more wise. One by one autistic people contribute to raising the consciousness in this world in that way. Also autistic people bring a magical element to this world, my son brings a different level of joy, sweetness, uniqueness.. its clear you have been brought up within a christian family but the spritual way to see god is that god is within us and we are all gods, some of our gifts may not be obvious and may appear negative... much like life some things can seem like they are not good and then later you see the reason behind.. the cause and effect.. Youre here now to help educate conscious awakening and acceptance of neurodiversity and I think many people will be grateful and find your role here as an autistic person extremely valuable and welcome in this world xx

Everytime I hear people speak about autism like this I feel like there's still people who CAN understand and WILL help with whatever's ailing them. Thanks William.

William, I'm not even halfway through your video and I feel compelled to say, you are amazing. I have ADD & wondered if I'm autistic. My daughter is ADHD too, my youngest son who is 4 has autism and is showing signs of ADHD as well. With us all being neurodiverse, and dealing with life differently, it's been such a curious journey with spirituality.. I feel we are the actual gifted ones. No, we're not rich, the smartest ever, nor the most talented, but genetically were called to live this way. We embrace it.. it's hard, but being neurodiverse, is SO unique and like nothing else.. I wouldn't change it at all. If only we could live in our own world, to be accepted & fully understood. I still feel our souls are advanced in ways. Love your video.

My son is diagnosed with ASD and I started contemplating and then a single answer struck me, I think God gave us this condition because He know we'll be a good parents to our son, that we'll give him an unconditional love and care.

Im also autistic. But i dont know about the stuff between god and my spectrum. My grandma tells me that god sends autistic people straight to heaven. Then she tells me that he doesnt. People are so wishy-washy nowadays. I dont even know whats going on. If you guys wish to judge me, then go right ahead. Judge me till your blue in the face. I dont even know why im here.

I sometimes think that God made me autistic which is not fair and that I am upset with him sometimes, but I onced believed that God made special people for special plans/reasons.

As an autistic person I find the evidence that God even exists to be 100% inconclusive. All questions about God are then 100% inconclusive.

Us humans are very ungrateful and lack faith. We don't realize what God has planned for us is the greatest. Even disabilities can become the greatest strengths. We should be thankful for whatever we have always.

I'm not religious, and I don't personally believe God exists, but I have nothing against people who do. What I do have something against, is people denying science and medicine, acting like autism is a demon and therefore doing really bad and possibly harmful things to an autistic child to try to get the demon out, etc. You can say "God made my child autistic" and for it to mean very different things, depending on how you view autism. Some people will say that God hates that person and gave them a curse, while others who don't see autism as a bad thing but just a neutral thing (it's just a different neurotype afterall, nothing wrong or less than any other neurotype), could think of God making their child autistic for no bad reason whatsoever. Obviously I don't believe either of them, but I do believe that autism is a neutral thing. I don't like when people say that autism is a horrible condition that takes over your child and makes them a horrible person, while I also don't agree with the people thinking that autistic people are superior to neurotypical people. To me, it's just people being people, because the world was built for neurotypical people and there's a lack of understanding and acceptance, that causes a lot of the difficulties that comes with having autism. I also don't think being disabled is wrong or bad. It can be hard and it can suck, but there's nothing that's less worthy of a disabled person over an abled person.

When I think of bullying, I think of God in the OT telling the Israelites to pick a goat and to put all of THEIR sins onto it and cast if off. And later in the OT mentioning that his sheep were ruled harshly and scattered. And those scapegoats become empathetic and concerned for others, like God wants.

If you believe that a god is omniscient and omnipotent, then the answer is and must be yes. There is no other logical option. But we're talking about religion so I can see how that would be a problem....

This is complete bs. So my child is autistic because I've sinned? But everybody sins. Come on. BS

I'm sorry you feel this way. It's important to remember that autism is not caused by sin, and there is no evidence to support that claim. Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects individuals from all walks of life, regardless of their religious beliefs. It's important to educate others and raise awareness about autism to combat harmful misconceptions and stereotypes.

@indigo Spirit did you finish watching to the end? It may have sounded like that in the middle, but he explains further in different ways. Remember, with his autism he may be saying and you may be interpreting differently than how he intends. He has a right to explain his thinking and have his own views. I don’t think that’s what he meant at all.
