With everyone being so smart, no one wants to work anymore in our industries areas (which carries our whole economy) so now we must take drastic action to get profits back up!

When buildings have the red need bubbles over them (sick, crime, trash, etc.) that means the building has stopped functioning. So your oil fields are crippled right now because they don't have enough trash collection. I imagine this is a result of increased traffic and sprawl. Services have poor pathing in large cities, and are likely sending their vehicles cross country to serve needs on the other side of the map, which means longer trips, which means a decreased service rate. There is a mod that can help if thats the issue, ("Geli-Districts", formerly "District Service Limit") that forces services to respond to needs in just their district. Or you can add a ton more service buildings. Great series Kibs :)

Mind that the "ton more" approach doesn't work the instant you put them down because service that already is en route won't stop and the new ones likely get sent across the map again. It takes some time to even out.

We as shareholders are also raising our concerns on the fact that our tax income is too low and needs to be raised immediately. We can do this by removing the high rise ban and letting level 5 buildings increase revenue. This way we can diversify our income and not be tangled up in one economic sector (Industry). We can also invest in high tech buildings which will raise our tax income as well making us even more diversified and even more money with highly educated workers. We can also have a sector of our city with highly educated for our high tech buildings and a different sector of the city with no high tech buildings, high rise bans, and poor conditions for the factory workers. If these requirements are not met I will propose a vote to decrease your political powers and lower your income by 15%

@@ameerfaisal5479 after paying some rather good workers to get me some details i have learned something of concern, the state taxing system has a glairingly abused loophole feature were the state can take more per tax than the city can ever be allowed to do per capital the city has stocked into its banking. ie we can not tax more than we have because the state is more than able to tax us so far into the red it can eat up to 5 mill from the 400 mil a taxing! with the more capital we have sorted away. so the sad reality is unless we can move 400 MILLION in capital we are gonna get taxed into oblivion. not even the minor shareholders can be allowed to recover from this as well for theres a debter clause so we also are forced to pay up! its a crime! (game lowered ya taxes based on how much you got in bank meaning you can go IN the red for taxes)

Most of your oil was through trains. You lowered the budget on trains. Need to increase that back up. Also put in dumpsters in the oil and maybe increase the budget on the waste so that they can take care of the trash. Bc things in red do not work anymore.

hey kibs. elementary schools and high schools magically teach random eligible kids in your city, no matter how far they are, and no matter if the facility is accessible to the kids or not. this means that your goal will be better realized with single elementary and high school in the entire city. the smiley faces or green roads when placing a facility only means land value has increased/the citizens are happier.

I'd say building a new absurdly large slums, like an industrial scale high-density population storage, would be the way to solve this. Having it be a separate district with 'school's out' would allow for its members to be very, very uneducated.

Only let the shareholders go to school, everyone else gets the 'schools out'. Look at employment numbers. Restore the train budget, but cut down on stations perhaps. Same for other warehouse/transport things. Cut down on buildings. Or increase exports to justify the buildings. And fix the garbage issues. Then profits will come back.

Would be fun if the walkways had tolls (park gates) on them, lots of profit, isolating a residential district from the work and commercial district really does wonders for it, and I don't have to feel bad since I normally call it the District Border Gate/ Gate-Bridge.

You can change your policies based on the districts. So you don't have to have the whole city focus on college, but maybe just the rich ones. Then you can have the slum districts with the "School's Out" policy, so they'll focus on going to work and not college.

We only really need like 10% of the pop to run the ball, what do we do with the other 90%, asked the 10% themselves. And the 90% are standing outside and waiting what faith the 10% decided for them. I understand that you are running this playthrough with a strict plotline. Although i think it would still be interesting to see a tech/office industry in the future. Maybe the shareholders get blinded by greed and maybe later in the playthrough there could be a revolution.

I mean, call center jobs are pretty evil, so that could be the angle. They're insanely strict on your schedule, like can't be a minute late from your break or lunch without getting in trouble and what even are sick days, strict dress code, no personalized workspaces, fairly low paying, and to top it off you get yelled at by strangers for things you can't control all day long. You get an increase in profits and a decrease in happiness, so its a win-win.

as one of the share holders of our city with a 0.0002924% stake, I have to say I am considering we have a meeting with the entire board to decide on the fate of leadership. We may be looking at extreme measures if the next upload isn't appealing enough to resolving the profit pandemic. I have to add, it was pleasurable being a partner here for all the 25 uploads. But seems like history is repeating itself with the big pp syndrome similar to what the Führer und Reichskanzler of Germany had in 1934, similiarities in the patterns suggest this might not end ell, maybe a coup? a war? we can't tell for sure, lets hope for the best, see you on stream❤.

minor share holder as well but agreed if he is just gonna repeat history we need someone to avoid it. so if he must a vote to bring in a consultants for part of the problem i see is not JUST the population or education gaps, but the logistics and services being so minimal that folks are willing to cross county for it. i wish to motion to bring on a man only known as biffa into the logistic planning team to re organize ALL the roads so we maximize the productivity of logistics but he also can be a adviser in most of the other industries as well.

you should check to see if your ore and oil industries have depleted. oil and ore are finite resources in cities and will run out eventually, and you will have to import

what's stupid about the oilfield thing is you actually have to be a little bit educated to do work there and a lot of the jobs in the oil field require actual degrees in hydrodynamics, management, and a bunch of other stuff. Factory work also requires people with management degrees and also people with cnc skills and programming skills and so yes there are always low skilled jobs but for every low skilled job there is a twin skilled job in the same industry. one final gripe about how this game treats educated pops is that if I go to college and can't find a job in that field but I can find a job in a factory making 2k a month then why would I remain jobless just because I can't find the job I want? are there like bunch of homeless in your city with college degrees or something?

I like doing like you did with the fishing village. Build the jobs and worker's homes at the same time and zone the homes for no higher education. Put in a bit low density commercial and you have a nice little pocket community. Then when you have your big down town area with all the office buildings and high rise commercial and residential they can go to college and get the education. I also like putting the industrial next to the factories that make the goods and then a train station. This keeps the trucks off the highways as much as possible. I also use subways pretty heavy and crosswalks.

Your income is grinding to a halt because of your oil section. Lack of services combined with no workers, hardly any of your oil building are producing. At the end of the video you were negative 500k because you killed THE CHOO! THE CHOO was your PRIMARY way of moving goods around, and out of your city. Slashing your train funding absolutely destroyed your economy. Bring choochoo back online, and just let the city run, since you just added 20k+ new people, they need a bit to settle and filter into their jobs. @ImKibitz idk if it would be a good game for you necessarily, but I would love to see you play some Hydroneer. I was checking and you lost near 150k/wk from university and 200k/wk from industries. I'd say that creating neighborhood with less educated people is "useful" for your industries, but you should keep some areas with education boost and some areas with school is out. Honestly I think now you should tweak the amount of ppl, you clearly need more citzens, and they need to grow in order to use industries, and I think that a zone with offices and high tech policy might be usefull as well, to soak the highly educated and generate some profit.

There's a hidden mechanic in game that makes your income get lower and lower while your balance goes up. For example If you reduce your balance to like 200k instead of having 400 mil, your income goes to +1 million a week. That's not a fair mechanism in game but I think they put it there to avoid breaking the game by over-money accumulation.

A big reason your losing money is that you have so much industry that there's too much product and they can't find places to sell to, so the extractors just stay full and stop working.

When you're building on pause you're always going to tank you 'profits' until it averages out again. Essentially you're spending like a million dollars in a second according to the game which causes the average to go all out of whack.

Maybe add the school out feature to the new residential area you built so those individual specifically wont seek out higher education. I don't think it will hurt the university since the rest of the city still has the freedom to attend uni. Also cutting the train budget so drastically seems like a mistakes since thats how alot of your goods get out of the city.
