Did I gain 20yards with a Madkatz rod?

in this video I put the madkatz med/heavy surge rod to the test. Matt Knight told me at catapoloza this year that customers said they gained 20 yards on their average cast using the his madkatz rods.
so I decided to test it with my average cast.

I like that rod. I just purchased three catch the fever hellcat rods. Medium heavy. And I had to purchase two extender series rods from tangling with catfish. All of these rods are very nice they all have that same green color that rod you were using looks a lot like hanging with catfish extender series same EVA foam handle I believe same color scheme. I am using non-level wines. It's a learning curve but you will definitely get more distance thanks for the video my friend

How much weight did you use

now do the test with a chunk of bait added and see how far it would go just like you were fishing

I can put a 5 oz at the bottom of a rig with a 4 oz up top. 4oz, bead, swivel , 80 lb leader, 5oz weight

Will do Sir I'll wrap it around the Goal Post a few times for ya 😆 I can spool a 6500 rocket with dental floss an a Bamboo Rod haha... Its all in good fun I'll see what i can do for a video using a Berkley Biggame rod paired with a 6000 Abu Garcia an 40lb mono with a 5oz weight a peg float an big ole chunk of cut bait.. I personally use Slimecat rods an 30lb monster mono but I'll jerk out the loaner gear for ya on this one lol... Sorry but I still can't believe any one rod of the same action can produce 20+ yards over another, you cant tell me each cast you make is with the same casting action an strength to make a legitimate 20+ yard producing cast seems like a sales pitch to me is all...

Yes sir! It's surprisingly sensitive to throw such large weight. I like to back bone. I pull a 6foot tree limp( log) out last week at Watauga lake here in tn

Ever heard of leverage? Rod length, rod load up with a given weight, more guides let the line flow smoother…
