I don't believe you went overboard at all, Tessie! I loved the real flax linen cloth that you found. I may be wrong but I don't think i have a single piece of real linen in my house! It's not that easy to find! I've heard that it lasts forever. And talk about authentic items for "historical reenactment"! (Hint-hint! I'm just guessing, but I think I detected a comment in this video that pointed your viewers in that direction!) I'm pretty sure that 18th century women just might have spun flax on those old spinning wheels. I just love finding hand-written recipes on cards in old cookbooks as well as notes in the margins of the books themselves. You really feel connected to the earlier owners of the cookbooks. The tray that was made in the Philippines is so beautiful. Simple and sturdy, but lovely enough to dress up any room that it's in. It seems to be in perfect condition too. I can't sign off without saying how cute your dear granddaughter is. So often girls at that age are a bit shy, but I think we can all promise her that when she's all grown up and looks back at this time in her life, she'll recognize what a great time it was! @@pr9764 Sister, I love that description of "how to last a lifetime" -- and indeed to "get better with age "! 😀 In short --- all we need is to be "looked after properly!" Fortunately, I have a very kind friend who sent me some delicious sweet/salty popcorn, which made a perfect evening snack (and only 77 calories!). I believe that qualifies me as a person who has been looked after properly! It seems that "Somebody up there" loves me, and "Somebody down here" acted on behalf of that Loving Father to express that in a tangible way! Now that is truly a blessing! And I am truly grateful! You can make bread with flour and yogurt and wrap it in a linen towel. I would like to pick up a couple myself. My thrift store has reopened and I am glad to see that with winter coming. They said they had some legal problems and got them resolved. I bought a small sign that said Welcome to my Cabin and a glass lid for my skillet. I need to go back cause they are having a 50% off sale. It is a lot of fun thrifting. God bless you

Andrea, some are and some don't. A lot depends on the stamp at the bottom :) I've worked at 'Royal Goedewaagen' quite a large name when it comes to Blue Delfts. A stamp at the bottom tells a lot about the worth and quality. I almost can write a book about this subject :)
