I literally got mine delivered today! I got the Ace Hardware Exclusive which doesn’t have the doors at the bottom, it has removable compartments. I’m trying to track down a cover before I assemble it. I’ve been watching griddle reviews all winter long too and I was gonna go with a series 2 loco until I saw this beauty….looking forward to cooking on it.

Great review of the Weber Griddle Evan. Looks like it did a good job on the temperatures and both the sausage and Fajita Meat roll ups were both very good. The grill cleaned up easily too. Stay safe and keep having fun around there. Fred.

You ought to get a hamburger press and place those burritos on a little butter and press down on each side for a little bit. Gives it a little crunch like texture.

Make sure too empty that grease trap after every cook, mice will get in there and eat the grease plus crap all over your cool surface. I learned the hard way to put parchment paper on the griddle surface.

Cast iron griddle tossed on a normal BBQ works great.... much cheaper and takes up far less space..... get a good seasoning on the surface and good for most anything....

Had a good chuckle when you slipped & fell. I do this at least once a year felling firewood trees. It is my ritual, even though I am by myself in the woods when it happens, my pride takes over immediately.. to look around & see if there were any witnesses. I have found that sharp chain on larger saw will fell the tree much faster, with less chance of tree going rogue on direction of fall. btw as you age there is less padding to land on. Happy "felling" trees

From what I’ve seen, the Weber seems to be better than the blackstones. Nice buy!

I’m not familiar with this product but I can say Weber makes quality products. With your talent, you could easily make a cutting board to cover that stainless steel side table.
@1955Texan8 ай бұрын
If that tray flips over evenly, I'd create a cutting board to fit under the tray. That way it can be used on either side. Plus it would make the tray rigid and take out that flex. Just a thought.

Great video! I’m considering both the Weber Slate griddle and the Traeger Flatrock. I do like the Weber Slate model a bit better. Did you compare the Slate against the Treager Flatrock before going with the Slate? However, I do prefer the bigger, more solid side tables on the Treager, as well as the bigger grease and pellet ash trap. One other thing is I noticed about the lid on the Treager. It seemed to be better built and operated smoother. The Weber lid had to be opened from the center of the handle or it didn’t open right, as it shimmied like it was loose. Maybe that was just the display model. Do you have a similar observation? I’m not sure what part of the country you’re in, but here in Colorado it can get quite windy, but not quite as bad as our neighbors get up in Wyoming. I saw that it’s not recommended to cook with the lid down on either griddle. That’s a small shortcoming for me as I don’t have a covered deck. So, I won’t be using it much in the winter. All things considered, I’m leaning towards the Weber Slate. I like that you can utilize the bottom for storage. It will be a nice addition to my Weber Performer kettle grill and my Weber Genesis gas grill. I was considering the Weber pellet grill, but there’s so much more you can cook on the Slate versus a pellet grill. I’d like your input on this, if you’ve looked into the Treager Flatrock along with the Weber Slate.

Thanks for mentioning why it's rust proof. It's really important that there's no coating to me
@twohandsandaradio6 ай бұрын
It's rust resistant NOT rust proof. Carbon steel does rust because it lacks the corrosion-resistant properties of its stainless steel counterpart. Although it's stronger and more durable than stainless steel, carbon steel may rust and corrode when exposed to moisture.

Where is the electric air fryer and warmer drawer? :) I didn't need such a large cooking space, so ended up with the Blackstone 23" 2 burner one. Hinged top, folding side tables on each side with 3 hanging pegs on each side. Think I paid $399 at Home Depot a couple of years ago now. The Weber is good too, but I have always felt you pay for the "name" more than anything on them. In the end, get what works best for you and cook and enjoy! I'm going to have to try that way of doing breakfast burritos! Nice cook.

Weber does make quality products, with those side tables it way to big, you will not like the location of the clean out trap, to reduce weight when lifting remove the cast iron griddle. Get an infrared thermometer for more accurate measurements, the Weber thermometer may not last long. Enjoy
