Can I suggest you check out Andrew Hill from New Zealand. He had imput into the design of these skis due to his extensive knowledge and experience on jetski fishing. He also sells accessories for jetski fishing, like real covers to keep saltwater off your reals, these also help secure your rods in the holders when using small bungee. I'm sure as you go out more you will get more use to the ski, it takes time like anything else. All the mate and stay safe on the water.

Try a short section of chain that attaches directly to the anchor. Then attach the rope to the other end of the chain. The chain helps keep the shank down so the flukes can dig in.

Take time to get used to it. I've had mine now for three years. before you know it you'll be backing it off the trailer in a straight line and turning it on a dime in very tight places. I placed a thick washer under the pedestal seat to allow it to spin and not bind up when turning. It now spins like a top. You'll get used to sitting on the seat but you're right. be careful in rough water. I'm 72 yrs old and it makes me feel like a kid every time I get on it. Its the most enjoyable toy I've ever had and I've had lots of them. Enjoy and be safe.

He can show you so much. It doesn't matter what vehicle you use to fish. Pay for a trip. He will get you tuned up on fishing skills. This will make you successful, swallow your pride and open your ears. Call him, he is so easy to talk to, down to earth. Because I care. Your welcome.

Man, idk, those giant floatation devices bolted to the side of that ski are ridiculous. I get that they werent going to design a special hull for a fishing specific watercraft. I just think they could have made those more functional, like storage devices maybe? It needs a live well and a more modern chart plotter. Especially if its introduced in 2025. I would imagine your fuel expense is far less with that than it would be with a boat. I used to do the overnight Tuna trips out of Port A. Sometimes we would stop at the nearshore rigs to catch bait on the way out. I would slay fish off the back with little 1-2 oz jigs while they worked bait in the front. Bull Reds, Red Snapper, Bonita, Bluefish... not anything worth keeping or legal to keep at the time but still a ton of fun on lighter tackle

Livewell drain: it has a drain built into it, if you didn't set it up right, that's not on Seadoo. Anchor: Again, your using the anchor wrong. It's not a wedge anchor. Google basic operation for the anchor type along with how we settup antisnags for claw anchors. Bumpers: this is just straight up laziness for consumerism. $20 at walmart got me 4 marine bumpers and 20ft of rope to hang off the side. Hard to control: yeah I can't help you there. My 5yr old niece even has no issues getting it off the trailer or doing idle maneuvers with her parents or I walking her through it. It's just throttle control, point the handle where you wanna go.
