Looks like Smith is reading chat a bit too much. First time he reported the body in electrical, he said he only saw one (although you could just see the other body). He then noted the other body may have been there as well but wasn’t sure. Near the end of the discussion he announced that he is certain there was a double kill haha. Sounds like chat was telling him haha.

It’s also just plain the human thing to do. To be like “maybe I saw this, I’m not sure...” to a little bit later going “oh no I 100% saw it, I’m certain.” It’s why witness testimonies can be kind of risky, because you can be persuaded (and persuade yourself) you’ve seen anything.

I've never played this game myself, so I don't want to be too judgmental...but how bad/tired was Smith in that last round? I get treading lightly, lest people think you've protested too much, but doubting himself almost immediately was a big oof. Hopefully you get a big boost of confidence this year under the Jingle Jam tree--that's a thing, right?--and never let Trott get away with that shit again.

Smith's willingness to doubt himself is absolutely one of the best qualities anyone can have when it comes to real life, where far too many people are 100% confident in their 100% incorrect beliefs. We'd live in a much better world if more people were like him. It is unfortunate that it hurts him in this game. Then again, being too confident without evidence gives you the opposite problem of being the third imposter, voting off all the innocents.
