I love the look on the Doctor's face when the guy reads the psychic paper and it says that they work for UNIT, and then they actually know who he is. He just seems so disappointed that he really does have legitimate official authority this time, as opposed to having to bluff his way through it as usual.

Vr Games compared to Moffet, which in my opinion wasn’t that bad, and Chris Chipnall, which is the worst director since the 6th & 7th Doctor’s Directors. I’d say Davies was the best.

Moffat wrote peak doctor who. Every doctor except whittaker had moffat episodes and they were the best in the show. The only standout episode davies wrote is midnight

6:32 Sorry @Harry's Moving Castle but its been well established that the TARDIS itself is partially Sentient... Its Semi-Alive... Each TARDIS has a somewhat Symbiotic relationship with its Pilots, Yeah I said Pilots... There are actually supposed to be 6 Time Lords to pilot a TARDIS! This was shown in BAd Wolf among others... The TARDIS deliberately took the Doctor to set points in time and even left the Bad Wolf Clue across time...

Ok I liked this review. Usually I hate listening to a dude I can't see.. but you're smart so it was ok. You nailed it, exactly how I feel about those Zygon episodes coming up written by "that idiot who wrote Kill the Moon" oh my god yes, that looks awful. And on Halloween.. which is sad. I was hoping we'd have an actually scary and interesting episode on Halloween to watch. But no. Anyway, Under the Lake was good, I thought, quite good. Looking forward to next week.

H.A.D.S is the reason for the handbrake (probably) it’s the hostile action displacement scenario. Or something. When the tardis is aware it may be in extreme danger it will dematerialise off somewhere else.

Doctor trapped on spaceship\base with creepy aliens that are trying to kill him. Also there is some outside force like a black hole or sun in play as well as a few survivors. The doctor does some magic and then everyone is saved. That's the basic set up for the spaceship episodes

The reference to Aberdeen is from School Reunion, written also by Toby Whitehouse, when Sarah Jane comes back and complains that the Doctor dropped her off in Aberdeen rather than Croydon during his forth incarnation of the Doctor.

Yeah, i remembered it also left in the german submarine with 11 and clara and the martian lizard alien (Greatest warrior race in the galaxy) (sorry i dont remember the name) and the gag was it it went to the pole and clara says it's not too far and the doc replies the *south* pole.

Good Review, personaly i find this episode "ok" but we have so many "Ghost-Creatures" in New Who ("Unquiet Death", "Hide" and "Curse of the Black Spot") and so i am not so "in" to this Scenario.

[Outsider looking in... gave up on it years ago] 1) Can't recall the title or author, read it back in the 1970's, a classic style SF story about new energy sources. But oil was still a valuable resource, due to the chemical industry. Can't recall the details, but do remember it revolved somewhat on the fact that people thought oil would be redundant for the new future technological society, but it wasn't. 2) Would need to do another re-read of a book I read a long time ago... but... Is that depiction of the 'dragon' and the ship, actually that of the Dawntreader encountering the Sea Serpent conjured by the fears of the crew when it sailed through the Mist of Nightmares?

If set, the TARDIS would de-materialise locally, then re materialise without having moved temporally, if danger threatened it. Oh wait.. sorry.. that was original canon, before they rewrote just about everything.
