Assalamu alaikum brother Shabir and Mashallah for your amazing work. Can I say that some missionaries point to us the fact that bcs e we don't believe the whole Bible to be the word of God that when we refer to it we are conveniently being selective. (1) we believe in the revelations given to Abraham , Moses, David and Jesus pbuh that is the original revelations given to them (2) the Quran tells us that the previous scriptures have been corrupted and modern scholarship which includes some Christian scholarship too have shown that (3) the Quran also even though it tells us that what they have now is corrupted still asks the people of the book for proof of their claims to the truth and salvation etc etc from what they currently have eg Bible (4) and despite their scriptures being demonstrably corrupt Allah is saying that they still can't back up their claims ! And in fact when seen in OVERALL terms this is indeed the case (5) as Muslims we know that the Quran stands by itself and sufficient in showing its Divine origin and don't need to refer to previous scriptures including Bible for proof of Islam (6) the reason we use previous scriptures in such dialogues and debates is to show that when seen in terms of overall pattern and consistency the Bible despite corruption still in comparison by far ends up supporting Islam rather than their truth claims! There is a very good book that I recommend 'The First and Final Commandment ' by brother Laurence Brown which shows this beautifully Brother Shabir correct me if I have made any mistakes above
