I , personally think he is one trooper and avid adventurous kind of man. He dosen’t fear too much, is willing to try just about anything, and seems to always have a blast doing it. Even if he DOSEN’T actually discover anything....... I give him 👍👍👍👍. Just for his perseverance and fun doing what he does. Koodos to you Josh, I love your show. ( and your sense of humour more ).

Say what you will about the dramatized camera works, musics, and setup... Expedition Unknown's still the only main stream show that show case real archaeologists and experts working in the fields to uncover mysteries of the pasts, in a manner that's popular to the masses. Are there any other popular show that actually spot lights scientists and archeologists and give the world an insights (even if just surface) to the methods, tools, and way of life of archaeology? It does really make me wish for a truly more in-depth and professional show of exploring the world and the past through archaeology and anthropology, as a regular tv series and not just stand alone documentaries on specific subjects. I would subscribe and watch a show like as long as it's on, anywhere, and be a better person for it.

We're getting closer and closer to finally understanding that whatever happened to cause the huge meltwater events around the Younger Dryas time period actually wiped out peoples that were further along than we thought. Underwater Archaeology should be a huge priority. The oceans are literally 400 feet higher than they were 12,000 years ago. Our history is underwater.

In Demand on Comcast/Xfinity. It's free with cable subscription. A great channel archive is from Destination America. They have lots of "alternative media" shows. You could spend a week going thru all the content. Plus History, Nat Geo, Discovery and many others. Comcast is a big ripoff, but at least In Demand gives you a little bang for your buck.

The one in lake Michigan is actually standing and circular like the stone hinge in the UK. I've never heard of this ocean one and it looks nothing like stone hinge except it's a circle
@chloejones8185
@chloejones8185 5 жыл бұрын
They called this a "mother henge" because it's older than known henges. The word "henge" refers to the dip in the ground made of stone that makes a complete circle. The henge part of Stone Henge has nothing to do with the stones, it has to do with the ground formation. So, in this case, the mother henge wouldn't look like Stone Henge because only Stone Henge is known for having that pattern of standing stones. They're only looking for the pattern in the ground.

I enjoy Josh's show, but, it's a show, meaning he's retracing the footsteps of researchers before him, and producing a seasons worth of programs that need to be delivered on time, and need to show him "searching," which they do, but don't confuse what he's doing as actual personal research... each episode is done very quickly and within budget, so, like all "tv shows," things are planned, and "setup" before filming even begins... antiquities are purchased, or borrowed and then planting for him to find etc. I enjoy the show because it still takes you to these areas and because Josh does a great job and shows genuine excitement etc.
@slimslamxx
@slimslamxx Жыл бұрын
My exact thinking. Of course it's still a show but if it wasn't for him alot of people wouldn't know about certain things that's going on in terms of archeology, discovering etc. Because it doesn't get the attention in the media that other stupid things do. I'm glad there is someone out there though trying to show mainstream people because we're not all in that field of information.

marshall stites I’m not sure what your trying to tell me. Impasto is the technique of laying paint down in thick layers to give it texture. If you meant to say impossible, then I ask you to explain why. Because right now, I’m starting to think you’re the type of person that tv shows like this were meant to fool.

Just because one is underwater doesn't make it older than the other, it just means one was built on higher ground. From those pictures, it looks circular but the technology builds the point cloud from a series of sonar images taken in a circular fashion so there's nothing here you can really use to compare it to a henge.

Hi Discovery & Patrons, A Book called Uriel's Machine, the ancient origins of science by; Christopher Knight & Robert Lomas, is a massive research exercise and throws a massive beam of light on the whole subject. Having read History of Building as one of my subjects at University, I became fascinated by the technologies required in ancient structures + the questions raised as to their purpose and periods, as in exact locations in the history of man. Accedemia did NOT to my mind, provide any real valid answers, but these two men do, for the simple reason that they went to incredible lengths to get to the truth, or as close to it as is humanly or physically possible.
