Amazing, the judge is prepared to make sure the verdict is correct and sound, but Judge Canone (Read) was unprepared to ensure double jeopardy did not apply because she did not poll a jury, and was too stubborn to make a jury questionnaire easier to understand. Judicial standards should be standardised.

Polling the jury is a tired argument. It may seem wrong, but the law is on fully on her side with that. With that out of the way, polled or not, I do disagree with her choice not to open an inquiry after the jurors reached out to the teams. But even with an inquiry I don't think anything would have changed.

I actually remember that as I was watching that verdict chat. Some were questioning if it was real in the chat. I thought it was so weird.

The reason the juror got a lawyer because the judge gave her a choice of doing so before questioning.

I’ve been a juror on 3 criminal cases and jury misconduct never happened was never even thought of….and now I’m hearing about jury misconduct more and more lately…..it’s very disturbing to me

Wow, just to note that the jury questioneer is a declaration of a sort. So this is good to know for future potential jurors. We just got over, head colds with congestion. Two weeks of tissues and tea with lemon and 🍯 honey. If at all possible buy local honey.

It seems odd that so much information about juror 15 is being so publicly shared. Even the name of the child was shared by the lawyer. I can't imagine anyone with any personal info that they don't want publicized with the world would want to be on a jury in this jurisdiction.
