Maybe it’s that Kenny seen how fucking atrocious that first takeover angle was involving the Bucks because of Tony’s mark booking and how that all of sudden just got dropped. So now that he’s also seen how this 2nd takeover storyline attempt involving a group lead by Moxley is already just as fucking atrocious as the first one and that the AEW fans don’t seem give a shit about it either. That perhaps Kenny is just trying to stay away long enough that it eventually just ends up getting dropped too because he doesn’t want to get any on him by being dragged into that shit too. Which was eventually leading to him and the Bucks being the heroic saviours, returning to save AEW from Moxley’s group. Now I also understand why Vince McMahon wasn’t interested in any of the idea’s Moxley pitched for his return to WWE tv back in 2018 after being out for quite awhile due to injury, since Moxley himself has had a lot of input into how this rotten fucking takeover storyline involving his group has played out so far.

There’s not a lot confusing about this. Kenny Omega has been undervalued and misused in AEW. Doesn’t have much to show for it now either and has limited time left in his career. AEW is a burning, sinking ship. Omega returning on AEW would be a net positive for them but for how long and to what end? What would they have him do? Put Mox over for like the 99th time? Kenny may feel that his return would be more useful, less wasted and he’d be more appreciated at New Japan who have been more than happy to roll the red carpet back out for someone who was once arguably their greatest contracted gaijin star. Kenny may want to make use of what time he has left to do meaningful stuff. Ultimately. I think Omega is about as through and fed up with Tony and AEW spinning its wheels without accepting there’s a problem as the rest of us. AEW is a graveyard for star power and potential.

Tony & his family are definitely using AEW as a way to offset gains from their sports franchises. Not only can they write off 50% of their payroll (for both talent & athletes) but even when they ‘lose’ money they still have an enormous amount of cash on hand. Which all people within their tax brackett care about. Probably why TK gives astronomical deals to talent bc at the end of the day half the rosters payroll is a deduction so the higher the pay the higher the deduction. The TV deals is the ONLY thing making this business actually lucrative. Reason it’s smart to keep it private too is bc then when they go to sell AEW (if and when) they can lowball the sale to the IRS (bc of what’s on paper) & pocket more in cash. TK is a mark no doubt but he’s no dummy. & if he is, his dad isn’t. & if him AND his dad are, clearly whoever is pulling the strings, isn’t. Very smart business actually despite what everyone seems to think. Ps I don’t watch AEW or WWE. Just know his dad is a G & despite his son being a man child, they’re extremely wise.

He had these ridiculous stories that only involve 6-8 guys, and puts his heavy hitters on the bench. Look at Okada right now. Omega has limited time left, limited matches left in his career. He's coming back in NJPW because it's what's best for HIM because AEW is a lost cause. AEW is garbage. Them and NJPW have weird dealings that really don't benefit either. Having Moxley as IWGP champ did nothing but hurt NJPW and nothing at all for AEW. Omega is only kind of relevant in Japanese wrestling. To call yourself "The Best Bout Machine" is cringey when as a wrestler in kayfabe you should only be worried about wins and loses. That stuff only passes in Japan, so let him go.
