CM Punk was the biggest star in AEW by a massive distance. The company didnt know how to handle having legitimate names coexist with indy dorks. Now dynamite is going back and forth with nxt without him 😂
@mastrorj6810 күн бұрын
The biggest impact CM punk made was his return and literally that was it. After that nobody really cared. And that's not CM punk's fault That's not on him That's on AEW because he's been nothing but impactful since returning to WWE. Aew is where lost WWE talent goes. It was where talent was going when it made sense to go there because Vince McMahon was suffocating the company to the point where AEW was a legit option. But now that Vince is gone and it happened very quickly, AEW is kind of useless and worthless. I don't even think you can call it cutting your teeth in the business at AEW. I think that's where you go to have a stagnant career but get paid to be stagnant and get paid a good amount of money

@@MrKajjaGG terrible... Rampage viewership avg in November was 211,000. Saturday night’s episode of EW Collision episode averaged 349,000 viewers - the largest audience total for the show in over a month. In the 18-49 demo, Collision drew a 0.09 rating, which is the same as last week but one of the lower rated shows since September.

Yes, is the short answer… let’s be honest here, for a SHORT amount of time, peaking in the back end of 2021 to the end of 2022, quite a lot of guys’ value either held its way from WWE or Rose, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. But from kind of the “Brawl Out” incident of 2022 onwards people started to lose their value. Go back to how hot some people were at that time and look at it now, MJF, Moxley, Omega, Danielson, Jericho etc. it wasn’t long after “Brawl Out” that they started to decline in popularity. Some people, like Swerve, have gotten popular after that, but for the most part that was the beginning of the end for a lot of talent in AEW

I only half agree with Al Snow here. Wrestling is about stars. But you don't need WWE to make you one. Half lacing himself into pessimism isn't doing anybody good. It would help the entire industry out, if WWE and Triple H would knock it off with the paying people and spreading them propaganda against AEW. Cornette, Bischoff.. pathetic.

Look at Britt Baker ruthlessly burying Serena Deeb on live tv . SHe has clearly checked out mentally and is now in it for the money.
@NJTRAF14 күн бұрын
Why? Because that’s an “I’m alright, fuck you” attitude that kills the business. They’re making a fortune, but if they don’t care about raising attendances, selling tickets, moving merch and growing the viewing figures, social media engagement etc. then sooner or later they’re gonna lose their TV deal and be relegated to KZbin. Tony Khan won’t keep supporting it financially when that happens, so they should be trying to grow AEW in every metric so that it makes more money as a company and when they all retire, there’s a healthy company for the next generation to work in

@detmorales9151 Yeah, it's annoying. They're not wrong the everyone's stock as dropped joining aew but same with wwe. Jade Cargils stock dropped, Shinsuke's stock has dropped, Kairi Sane's stock dropped, CM punks now an after thought that's barely on TV. Cody's is on the decline after being the only recent success story. The anti AEW stuff gets lame and predictable after a while because fundamentally, WWE and AEW are making the same mistakes, but WWE has a high hill to fall from. Al says wwe knows how to make you look like a star but that was his time. Today they can barely present the universal champ Cody better than Al, a mid carder, was presented

Al Snow is putting way too much stock into the current state of the WWE and marking out of that promotion, like he's working on a WWE I.D. contract. The WWE and AEW are two sides of the same coin. Did the WWE make Al Snow a start His gimmick was playing with a toy head or was apart of a watered-downvversion of Midnight Rockers. He was treated with way more respect during his time in ECW and TNA Wrestling.

The CM Punk screw up was the beggining of the downfall. AEW makes so many great talents look weak. I agree with Al on this one hundred percent. It even seems as soon as someone gets over they get dropped or booked into oblivion. Wardlow,Starks,and even MJF have been weirdly at there most popular getting booked into different directions that go nowhere. So many other midcards guys too numeous to name here as well. Mid carders sometimes go up the card but not in AEW. I am a big fan of alot of the roster but just cant watch the tv shows.
