PTSD doesn’t look at all like Connor’s behavior. If you are looking for a psychological explanation, I think it’s more of a narcissistic personality disorder situation, with Connor not being able to accept the reality that Khabib was a better fighter than him. That well established fact is truly unacceptable to Connor’s view of himself. Someone just can’t be better than him, so irrational thinking and behavior is the consequence. Add to that the effects of an increased use of alcohol, cocaine, anabolics, extreme wealth, and the servants and sniveling sycophants that come with that wealth, and you get someone who is not living in the reality the rest of us inhabit.

The first Dustin KO back in 2021 did more damage literally and figuratively. Dustin wasn't a wrestler and he stood there right in front of Conor trading shots. Conor ending up flatlined that night was something inconceivable to Conor's psyche. Conor had been submitted a few times by grapplers but never knocked stiff. It was effectively over for Conor after that fight. The fame, the drugs, the alcohol, the women, the money, the uncompetitive loss to Khabib, those were major factors but the Dustin KO was the real turning point.

Yes, he did. Mcgregor didn’t think he could be beaten, let alone beaten that bad. Then he has to reflect on camp not going how he wanted and if it would’ve went better would he have won (answer is no). People are who they are. If you’re a writer you write until you can’t irrespective of money. If you’re a fighter you fight until you can’t. He and his fans use his money for an excuse because they both fail to reconcile that Conor still has fighting in his heart but he’s a mentally defeated man which is why he keeps talking about fighting and acting out but won’t because he can’t get over the loss.

I honestly think the reason McGregor can't let it go is because he cared so much about being a one-of-a-kind fighter and at one point had a bunch of people believe that he was unbeatable & probably even thought that of himself, and khabib really is that guy, retired undefeated, had a style that no one could figure out enough to hand him a loss, he had the career & respect that Conor wanted so bad & khabib showed him just just how far away he was from that actually being a reality, he exposed him & made it look easy & did so on a world stage, McGregor will never let that go, imo

John said Connor was having a hard time staying focused. I think for most people who enjoy their alcohol especially long marathon drinking Special events back to back nights social events, For the most part, that's where most people get introduced to the Devils dandruff. You go into the men's room & people ripping lines out in the open. That being said .. that's how it could have played out. First off, Dana White is partially responsible for having separate rules for Connor and then everyone else. Conor ruined his career by himself. He was THE STAR of the UFC, and it’s really unfortunate to see him fall that low now. I think if he forgot about his ego for 10 minutes after that night, things may have taken another turn. He got humiliated. His ego got hurt, and he can’t even bite back. So, it will keep haunting him. The best option was maybe to go all peaceful and give a hand shake and a hug, and say that he didn’t mean the things he said prior to the fight. The question is “when?” in that crazy night. And I think maybe it should’ve been when Dana refused to give Khabib his belt. It would’ve been very bada*s if Conor interfered and convinced Dana to give the belt, and this is what the sport is all about…etc.

Khabib was only the first domino. The final one was Dustin. He was beaten twice, TWICE, by a guy he'd already beaten. A guy he thought he was better than. Do not put any stock in his return. His next fight is in a criminal defendant's box, or maybe divorce court, or maybe even a chalk outline. And as truly hopelessly out of control that he is, he is still too smart not to know that. That is the cause of his behaviour.

I always thought it was probably Khabib that ruined Conor more than the time off to fight Mayweather but it probably all added up. Time off to fight Mayweather, first fight back Khabib and lots of money. Khabib probably would've finished Conor more quickly but for the anger. Psychologically and physically that fight had to take a toll. That wasn't a martial arts tournament. It was real. It was one guy wanting to mess another guy up. The violence, the energy. Leaves a mark. Conor can't get a fight. He knows Khabib is out of contract. He's trying to get Khabib to do some kind of money gimmick fight in Abu Dhabi or something. Conor is desperate. What I don't know is why. Have his businesses failed? Does he need a big score? Wouldn't shock me.

Khabib goaded Connor into a fight he shouldn't have taken by attacking Connor's friend. Connor is still trying to find something that will goad Khabib into doing the same.

Has nothing to do with the fight. Has everything to do with the fact that khabib will never rematch him. He will NEVER get that W and it will always be a loss on his record.

He gave him PTSD, nightmares and crished his ego. Mcgregor was always a POS pretending to be a good person. Dustin took the hopes of connor ever concincing the public he was a half decent person ever again.

Khabib exposed Conor's true nature when he destroyed the one thing that stands him up, his ego. Now he hides behind substance abuse because his fragile ego has never been able to recover.
