Yeah he could have way more if he was like the other quarterbacks and keeping it or looking for a quick pass. I must say if Andrews was healthy he is #1 red zone threat and he probably would have six or so more redzone passing touch downs BUT using Gus the Bus also reduces the number of QB hits and pressures so I am not mad at it, team over personal stats every day and the best stat of all is the W

With Brock Purdy as quarterback, the 49ers are the first team in NFL history to have a running back, two wide receivers and a tight end all hit over 1,000 all-purpose yards in a single season. Christian McCaffery has 1523 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns and 564 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns for a total of 2087 total yards and 21 total touchdowns.

The nfl was in on not letting him be signed for a complete gauranteed contract plus his mom represents him so that's why they wouldn't do it. They did the samething to Jonathan Taylor when he wanted out of indy. The owners of Baltimore were the only players in the lamar sweepstakes. They are glad that happen especially if they win a superbowl.

I agree with James. The reason Lamar only has 29 TDs is that Todd Monken is a much better play-caller than Roman (Example: Dominating in a stacked SEC at Georgia) plus Gus Edwards is money inside the 20-yard line. Lamar is the MVP not because of his stats but because of the effect he has on everyone on the team. They all feed off of his leadership, and it shows every game. In 2019 he won the MVP because of stats and highlight reel plays. This year it's because of his maturity as a QB and as a leader. He's cool and controlled and its a deadly 1-2 combo.

Im glad James jones brought up the gus Edwards thing because i been saying that all along. Lamar gets penalized for not having that many passing TDs but that's because he hands the ball off to Edwards every time they get in the redzone. Yesterday lamar threw it in the redzone alot more when usually he hands it off. It was almost as if lamar was proving a point that if he wanted to have 4-5 passing TDs a game, he could. I’m wondering the same thing. After Lamar, I got CMC and Dak. Dak threw 15 last season and got roasted all throughout the season. And the last 3 games Allen hasn’t played great. Against the Cowboys it was James Cook. He barely survived the Chargers with the backup qb and against the Patriots not terrible but not MVP worthy. After the Bills game, Dak’s had 2 great games where he put the team on his back (especially against the Lions where the run game was nonexistent)?and gave his team chances to win on both occasions, going 1-1.

Think in terms of total turnovers. Turnovers are lost fumbles and interceptions. 2023 season through week 16. Josh Allen has 16 INT with an INT rate of 3.0. He has 6 fumbles with 3 lost fumbles. Only lost fumbles count as a turnover. Josh Allen has a total of 19 turnovers. Lamar Jackson has 7 INT with an INT rate of 1.5. He has 11 fumbles with 6 lost fumbles. Only lost fumbles count as a turnover. Lamar Jackson has a total of 13 turnovers. Brock Purdy has 11 INT with an INT rate of 2.5. He has 6 fumbles with 2 lost fumbles. Only lost fumbles count as a turnover. Brock Purdy has a total of 13 turnovers. But... You have to take into account of how many passing attempts and completions each QB makes to correlate the numbers. 2023 season through week 16. Josh Allen attempted 544 passes and completed 355 of them. He has 3947 passing yards. Passing completion 65.6%. Passer rating 91.5. Lamar Jackson attempted 457 passes and completed 307 of them. He has 3678 passing yards. Passing completion 67.2%. Passer rating 102.7. Brock Purdy attempted 444 passes and completed 308 of them. He has 4280 passing yards. Passing completion 69.4%. Passer rating 113.0. Josh Allen has rushed for 457 yards this season. He has 15 total rushing touchdowns. Lamar Jackson has 821 rushing yards this season. He has 5 total rushing touchdowns. Brock Purdy has rushed for 144 yards this season. He has 2 rushing touchdowns. Keep in mind the more passing attempts a quarterback makes the more likely he'll have interceptions. Keep in mind the more rushing yards a quarterback runs the more likely it is he will fumble. This is why Josh Allen has more interceptions and Lamar Jackson has more fumbles. Josh Allen has 27 passing touchdowns and 15 rushing touchdowns. Josh Allen has a total of 42 touchdowns. Lamar Jackson has 24 passing touchdowns and 5 rushing touchdowns. Lamar Jackson has a total of 29 touchdowns. Brock Purdy has 31 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. Brock Purdy has a total of 33 touchdowns. People talk about how "efficient" Brock Purdy is. This means he does "more with less" attempts. NFL fans read about raw stats but don't bother to look into how the stats are reached and how they correlate to actual gameplay by quarterbacks. As you can see all of these quarterbacks are elite quarterbacks. Lamar Jackson is not so much greater that he deserves the MVP more than the other two. NFL fans talk about MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. But usually in the wrong context. They usually talk about it in the quarterback carrying his team. The real value of a quarterback isn't in carrying his team. It's in elevating his teammates. Making them better than they were without him as their quarterback. Example: Brock Purdy of the 49ers. The 49ers are the first team in NFL history to have a running back, two wide receivers and a tight end all hit over 1,000 all-purpose yards in a single season. Plus, if Deebo Samuel were to play in week 17 and get 129 yards he would reach 1000 receiving yards. This would mean that Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle would all 3 have 1000+ receiving yards. With Brock Purdy as their quarterback the team is being elevated and is setting franchise and NFL records while winning games and the #1 seed. Something to consider.

@@bigmodontfail6229 It's easy to look like a big fish in a small pond full of rookies. Of course, Lamar Jackson is great on a team full of rookies, he's a six year veteran, a former MVP and a great player. But it's a lot more difficult to be a small fish in a big pond full of big fish. Brock Purdy has only played 21 regular season games, 5 last year and 16 this year. Yes, he's surrounded by all pros but he's elevating their game. Elevating an all pro's results is a lot harder than elevating a rookie. A pro has little room for improvement. While rookies have a lot of room for improvement. And yet, with Brock Purdy as the 49ers quarterback: The 49ers are the first team in NFL history to have a running back, two wide receivers and a tight end all hit over 1,000 all-purpose yards in a single season. If Deebo Samuel gets 129 receiving yards against the Rams he will be the 3rd receiver on the 49ers with 1000 receiving yards. Deebo credits Brock Purdy throwing deep balls as the reason for his success. The football isn't getting thrown to the 49ers by itself. Whether Brock Purdy deniers like it or not, he's elevating his teammates and this makes him valuable. The 49ers are BETTER with Brock Purdy as their quarterback.

He doesn’t need to have the best stats, but because of how much of threat he is and how unselfish he is, when you play the ravens, you have NO idea how you’re gonna get beat, which players are gonna eat and how Lamar will operate. You guys are all morons😂 now do Lamar’s fumbles. A turnover, whether it’s a pick or fumble, is still a turnover.. Josh has 17 total turnovers and Lamar has 13. While Josh has 13 more TD’s. I’ll take 13 more touchdowns over 4-5 TO difference all day. Lamar defense is absolutely nasty and giving them phenomenal opportunities with good field position. Josh doesn’t always get that opportunity.. outside of this weekend against the pats he hasn’t had that.. diggs has been below average as of late and JA accounting for 84% of teams success and touchdowns. Throw away the garbage “give it to your rb inside the 5 instead keeping it and stat padding” becuase they’ve done that multiple times and got stuffed so they give it to Josh and he scores.. it’s that simple lol. I love Lamar but Josh is the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER on and to his team. Lamar is great, absolutely.. but Tyler Huntley also had a perfect passer rating this week too😂 Josh also had a perfect passer rating against the dolphins… Lamar doesn’t deserve a second MVP before Josh gets his first with the last 4 of Josh’s seasons having 40+ TD’s and getting snubbed on all of em. Those things matter

Lamar always has to walk through fire for him to get his credit & it’s really insane. Loses JK & multiple offensive linemen however the questions asked amongst media (WEEK 5) “Are The Ravens getting their $ Worth From Lamar 🤔?” Gets a brand new wr corps & oc however doesn’t receive the same grace as other Qb’s when the offense doesn’t gel EARLY in the szn. 8 drops from his wideouts in a loss. Healthy he’s the most dynamic QB in the game bar none & I’m a Rams fan saying this. Lamar is a Tier 1 QB not matter how hard you want to hate. MVP worthy again.

We couldn't get Lamar on the ground. ..and the Niners have a great Defense. If you rush up the field, Lamar is gonna step up and take off running. If you clog up the gaps, Lamar is gonna stand back there all day and pick your Secondary apart. Your fromt four on the D-Line literally has to Win at the same time. Smother the pocket under three seconds across the board and close the space around him. That is hard to do consistently. But you have to take something away. You can't give him both options.

Lamar doesn’t care at all about the MVP. All he cares about is winning. He’s said that over and over. The Ravens are a collective. Everybody contributes. We saw that in stunning fashion yesterday when they curbstomped the Dolphins. No one there cares about stats. They’re focused on getting to the Super Bowl.

I’m not gonna lie at 8:06, when I heard the Jogging line, I immediately thought of Lamar’s throwing stance every time he throws a pass-- my man looks like he’s jogging in place… and the way he does a quick extension and just as quick release, he don’t even look like he threw the ball, or even threw it with the right amount of power-- and yet we see the ole’ pig-skin thrown like 30-50 yards down field-- it’s crazy. Lamar stepped up his game this year to the point where he has made himself the definitive X factor in every game he plays-- and uses his abilities outside the pocket as what they should be: not just a threat, no, a promise-- because if you let him run, he can still capitalize and throw it, but if you come at him, he can still throw it, and get outta the way. For real, with the environment of the league this year, I don’t think teams have a good enough answer for the multi-tiered threat Lamar is this year, save for a 5-man blitz… and even with that, the Ravens in every game now, are looking like they’ll be prepared for that too.
