Lamar Jackson is on Another Level

NFL Quarterback Lamar Jackson is playing the best football of his career because the Baltimore Ravens are now setting him up to show off the full breadth of his skill set consistently. Jackson is thriving away from Greg Roman's scheme and with a group of wide receivers who can actually get open.

You're not going to get any argument from me. Lamar's pocket presence, spatial awareness, understanding of angles etc. really is all on another level. It would be nice if they would use OBJ a little bit more, but it seems like they are utterly terrified of him getting injured again.

@HNiCDuke Bro Lamar plays with guys in the pocket he'll stand there let a guy come full speed or head on and will duck or side step them as soon as they reach out sometimes he'll let em touch em, sometimes he'll run around, beside or use the tackle or guard like a pick/screen bro I be laughing my @ss off😂😂

@@Reborn_Mxrz He's only involved in 50% of their pass plays. I realize his that his targets per route run is very good this year, but it's because he barely plays compared to the rest of the receivers on the team.

They use him enough. With the amount of weapons that they have it makes it easier for them all when one guy isn’t the main guy. Not only that but you gotta remember, just as much as the ravens offense wants to thrive, the defenses that go against them want to thrive too. With that being said, the defense tries their best to make sure Odell doesn’t have the ball

In their defense they didn't know that and I didn't know it either. I just really want Lamar and Bateman to have better chemistry on the field and hook up for some long passes. If that happens Sunday and the defense plays better than they did in the first half against the Rams it's going to be a long day for the Jaguars.

I'm so glad that people are making videos about Lamar being a HIGH LEVEL thinker. He's a phenomenal athlete but that's not why he's a good qb. Man does his homework and makes great decisions. Sometimes that decision is running but most of the time it's putting the ball where it needs to be. He's the MVP hands down

The most insane part about all of this is he’s making these throws with not only usually facing pressure and having to roll out of the pocket, but he’s also making most of these throws without his feet even being set or off his back foot. Not to mention his numbers would be truly insane if his receivers didn’t drop all those passes against the Steelers.

I wish the Ravens had designed a similar type of offense for Lamar from the beginning. From watching his Louisville games he was capable of growing into a complex passing offense. This is the 2020's. Football clubs in the C.F.L. figured it out in the 70's. Ask Warren Condredge Daemon etc. The Ravens didn't do their homework.

I think they brought in Roman to smooth his transition from college to NFL. The problem was they never gave Roman legitimate WRs. So everything depended on Lamar's option skills. They would've gone deep in the playoffs even with Roman if he and Lamar had had some legit WRs.

17:41 is a great example. Safety breaks at Mark, Lamar throws to him, not leading him into the hit. This gave Mark time to bottle up the ball and protect himself, unfortunately hurting the safety.

10s across the board! Lamar embodies our Play Like A Raven motto, and his skills along with his football intelligence are incredible!!! He basically can do whatever he wants to defenses at any point and time by reading them as long as our O-line takes care of business. This team is so underrated that it's ridiculous...yes we've always been a defensive threat but with Lamar rockin our offense we're as close to unbeatable as a team can get! What my Ravens did to everyone's favorite SF and the finless MIA this season speaks volumes about where LM is. He's the most gifted and dynamic QB in the league =MVP because when he steps on the field, he steals the shine from everyone. LaMarvelous is must-see, box office tv and will lead my Ravens to many Lombardis💜🖤

The second clip against the bengals Likely sets that play up perfectly and it looks hilarious as he spin jukes one defender than clobbers the other one to the ground

He is a regular season monster and has been for a few years now. Then the playoffs come around and he switches gears to an average QB and the Ravens exit.

That was a totally different system and team. That narrative will die this year so go ahead and have your fun for now.

I appreciate people from other countries taking an interest in American football. Cheers Mate. One thing, at 5min mark, that is an awful pass. It use to be called a hospital pass because thats where the WR went after the play or they got gator arms. That was a bad read on more than likely a bad offensive play call. Sometimes the very best play is to throw it out of bounds or even take the sack. Live to fight another day but turnovers are the biggest factor in who wins these games.

Your absolutely right. But the best of the best QB's are the ones the can read all the tell signs much further down field. Every offensive coach on earth feels a QB should be able to read and react to all short field throws in the line of his eye sight. All he had to do was look straight ahead and know by the defenders that the running back was going to have a open catch if he threw it quick before the running back got a couple steps past the line of scrimmage. Everything was directly in front of him to read for that particular pass and route. It starts getting much more difficult when a QB has to turn away from his direct line of sight and recognize who should be open by what the defenders are trying to do. Before he can actually see where he's going with the ball. Is the wide left receiver going to have a open spot without the QB actually seeing the receiver yet. Seeing half the field and still knowing which option is going to have the widest window to throw in is what the absolute best QB can do.
