This actually happened to me ans it took almost two years to go through courts to get my deposit back. TAKE PICTURES of every single thing when you move out and have someone other than friends and family (like a neighbor or co-worker) see the property after you're completely moved out and the place is clean. That's the only thing that saved me and I was able to get my 1250 back. My landlord was a preacher too.

Surprised JJ didn't see that. If defendant hadn't marked that part out, she'd be having a fit, saying the tenant did it after it was signed. Probably hoped since it was a copy, it wouldn't count. Much too quiet a denial, I believe it's called 'fading facts'.
@danp3808
@danp3808 Жыл бұрын
I got it!!!! That contract is a photocopy. I think what happened is - “tenant” was highlighted with a red or orange highlighter in the original contract. Red and orange leave black text legible. Those colors turned very dark grey when converted to b&w. The intent was to highlight “tenant” not cross it out. If it was to cross it out - a pen similar to what was used in the other test would have been used.

A lot of military families move around from state to state. I don't know if that is the case here but that is just one example. I understand what you are saying, but the alternative is that these children would not see their father for extended periods of time and she would be left raising the five children on her own. I don't know what's worse. The children will be affected negatively in either situation. I wish them well. EDIT: Watch Part II. I think you'll have a much different perspective of the mother; I certainly did. She seems like a very well organized lady with all her ducks in a row. I think her children will be just fine.

Everyone needs to take pictures ,before they move in and when they get. ready to move out before they turn the keys in. Read the lease very well because it is a binding contract. and extremely long leases have a lot of tricky Clauses. Slum landlords, make the print small and have numerous reasons why they can evict a tenant. Always do a background check on the landlord/ owner realtor company and tenant reviews Even the nicest person can be crooked. I live in.a university city and until the university started sueing landlords, students were treated terrible.

Perhaps this is only in the US, but where I live in Switzerland - no one really gives security deposits anymore - and such cases have reduced. We just get a security deposit insurance policy - which works the same way as the traditional security deposit (of giving money), but protects better the tenant and owner.

I reckon the landlord highlighted "Tenant" on the original lease with a blue or pink marker, and then photocopied black and white to give to the tenant. On the photocopy it does look like it was crossed out but "Tenant" is still legible. The plaintiff may have taken it to mean Tenant was crossed out.ŕ
