I've noticed that, at times, Judge Judy's haphazard rulings, mainly dismissal of cases, are guided by the amount of money her show must pay plaintiffs. Does anyone have verifiable evidence to support or rebut my observation? I repeat "verifiable" evidence.
@trogdor20X62 жыл бұрын
i think the way the show works is that every case has a $10,000 "prize pool", and whoever gets awarded money gets taken out of the prize pool and the rest is split evenly.

@itdoesntmatterintheend74962 жыл бұрын
Everything I read says this same stuff. Hope that helps you?
@TheJayden39772 жыл бұрын
I think it works as someone else said a $10,000 prize pool and if the case is dismissed and there is no counter claim both parties get $5000 each. If one side wins though the money they are “awarded” comes out of the $5000 the losing party gets. So if the plaintiff wins $1400 they get $6400 overall whereas the defendant gets $3600. Pretty much a win/win even if you lose the case for $5000 as you still aren’t out of pocket and the case is settled. The thing I like about JJ herself is she has actually admitted in a few cases how their system works.

i hate when JJ makes personal judgments like this, maybe she would not have gone to a party if the person owed her money, but maybe the plaintiff is able to compartmentalize money issues and friendship better than she can? she always says everything is hearsay but constantly lets her own personal feelings sway her opinion. the deposit money wasn't looked at because she would not have done something personally meanwhile there's any number of reasons the plaintiff felt comfortable going to the party. i've had friends that owe me money and never let it effect my friendship. if shes going to use personal anecdotes to rule, she should she should take the "Judge" out of her name and just be "Judy" and not pretend to be impartial.
