I thank God every day that my brother and I were able to settle our parents’ estate amicably. So many families are petty and broken over, what in the end, means nothing
@marine296Ай бұрын
My father was executor to my grandfather's estate. My mom's father. My mother passed 5 months before her father did. My dad changed for the worse as executor of the estate and I now find myself having to pursue legal action in order for him to do the right thing. It's sad that it comes to this, but at the end of the day, he's 100% in the wrong. Money changes people.

Absolutely. I'd rather have nothing and peace than money and chaos.

You should thank yourself and your brother. God didn’t choose that. Your own mind and brain did.
@DIDYOUSEETHAT172Ай бұрын
Its crazy what money does. My step dad married my mom when I was about 8, my brother 9. Along came two more sons. Mom passed first, then dad just over a year ago. He made my two younger brothers co executors. As a fee he left them a life insurance policy and investments they received 45,000.00 each as soon as he passed. He left my two younger brothers 60% to split of his house sale, and my older brother and I 40%. But because dad did not specify in the wil,l the life insurance and investments were the executor fee. My two young brothers wanted the full 5% executors fee in addition which would come out of our 40%. How's that for greed?

How can a person with alzheimerz legally sign something? Maybe it's just me but I wouldn’t take the word of the alzheimerz patient. My grandma had it and we all took care of her in turns and I witnessed her multiple times go through things and accuse people of stealing from her. She definitely wasn't in the right mind and if there had been a cop there she would have signed anything. She would move her own things and bam someone stole it. Or she would say there was nothing to eat but there's a full fridge and pantry and accuse my aunt of starving her etc etc
