They should be required to pay child support since they helped create that child, but should not be allowed to be alone with said child. Wow, this person was putting his child support obligations on someone else. And WoW are those child support payments high. For a person who gets 50K a year, that is ridiculous. Here it is... When my husband and I decided to temporarily separate, we agreed to no child support payments. The children lived primarily with me, and we acknowledged that we would keep the kids in hour home while he and I switched off staying in the house. One week me, one week him. However, on our off week, we did not deny each other any time with the children. Our kids were the ones being uprooted. I managed to arrange to stay with family, while he managed to stay with a friend. We paid our out of home situation rent and bills. In all, this was far less scary for our kids, and it kept up out of child support court. We've been back together for years. But I know that as our children watched up assure them a sense of stability and security, I know they appreciated it.

On the other hand, I’ve had coworkers who had contracts where if they were fired for reasons other than those stipulated in the contract then they had to be paid for remainder of the contract. One coworker was really round about fired three months before he left but the bosses couldn’t stand paying him to sit at home. Not that he did much after finding out they weren’t renewing his contract. On the flip side if people quit early they had to buy out the contract or possibly be sued.

Note to self~ Don't ever never ever allow any mandatory lean or child support or anything that comes directly out of an employees paytcheck. As it could lead to headache we don't need.

he probably got fired because the dr found out he was stealing. if he had asked the drs permission and help perhaps the dr would have helped him out.... people who steal often forget that others have a heart and can sympathize with you.

Child support is "sent" it isn't "taken". If the employer SENT money he shouldn't.... that's on the employer. The EMPLOYER need to get it back from CHILD SUPPORT.

Can't blame him for trying, I guess, if he's broke. In an employment dispute once, the arbitrator asked for my side. I told him I had nothing to add, that my statement was the same as my former boss's. I won. (Kudos to the boss for being so objective and factual.)

@@larissap3547 do you know what the cost of child care is these days... Have you ever calculated the increase in gas, food, rent, utilities, clothing, supplies, insurance etc when a child is added to a single person's life...? Not to even mention if the child happens to have a special need, whether behavioral, health wise or mobility. And let's not forget braces and glasses... I could go on. You've either never had children or were a stay at home mom 50 years ago, when everything was cheaper and you had their dad's money to spend cause he wasn't a deadbeat and didn't abandon you and the kids

And he underlined AT WILL EMPLOYMENT, which means the employer can fire you at will, not be obligated to pay the employees court ordered child support. Defendant is a loser.

Employers do end up paying the child support. I work for a payroll company so i deal with it every day. Yes the funds are deducted from the employees check however the funds ultimately come from the employer that gets sent to the child support agency.

$900 for support for 1 child? Too much. You only need 500-600 on top of half of the money from the mother, not excusing what he did though. But that’s a ridiculous amount.
