Did Michelangelo hide secret messages in The Sistine Chapel?

Research by biologists and art historians have led some scholars to believe that Michelangelo may have hidden secret messages which challenged the authority of the Catholic Church in his frescos. Some go as far as to suggest that he may have been hiding proto-evolutionary diagrams and theories in his compositions, showing just how connected the arts and sciences have always been.
