I loved seeing The Rock in the ring vs the guys in Evolution. The Rock's exchange with Ric Flair is worth viewing on it's own. I remember seeing before it was edited, Foley was crawling trying to make the tag, Flair pulled Foley back by his leg to Evolution's corner and said "I don't think so motherfucker."
@jonathancampbell52312 жыл бұрын
@@alexandru5369 He wasn't "hurried" back; it was months in the making, from the year before, and Mick planned out most of the feud himself over Vince's objections even. The problem was that try as he might, Foley couldn't get in shape for the match, so it was made into a 3 on 2. The legit embarrassment he felt over the WM20 match (which isn't a bad match; Foley himself just isn't good in it) motivated him to try extra hard to lose weight for the Backlash match.

@@chrisrosenberger7744 Look him up. He was a garbage comedy wrestler from the indy scene, who couldn't make it in the big leagues - so in the mid-2010's he reinvented himself and became popular amongst the internet wrestling community for a spot he started doing in his matches called the Penisplex. Somebody would grab his crotch and he would use his "magical superdick" to flip the other person over. Mick appeared at an indy show in 2017 with Joey. He put his sock on his hand and did the stupid penis spot. Thankfully in 2020 Joey was pretty much blackballed from the industry after close to 20 women he had worked with accused him of sexual assault and/or harassment. The POS attempted to sue several of his accusers, but he has since dropped those. The guy had so many supporters in the wrestling community before mid-2020 and has now become a pariah. The fans who supported him though were almost as bad. Joey played a large part in popularizing the over-the-top goofy, garbage wrestling amongst the hardcore wrestling fanbase - the same fans who have supported AEW from the start. Plenty of the "talent" AEW started out with were friends of his and also took part in the goofy comedy wrestling that only appeals to that niche part of the fanbase.
