XZ has a hardware unlock for Rekordbox 6 unless you're using DVS. XZ also unlocks Serato.

Agreed. The D2 was a massive hit IMO. Now imagine if they gave you that with a jog wheel. They had the road map well before the Denon LC-6000. All they had to do was execute. Even now, a Z2 Mk2 with a pair of Denon LC-6000s natively supported would be awesome.

Yeah you are absolutly right, NI should support the DDJ-1000 and ALL THE DJ CONTROLLERS out there thats a fact. And on their upcoming gear (If), for the controllers, they should make LARGER JOG WHEEL because I really like the feel with my S2 mk2 compare to my DDJ-1000 but their jogs a too small.

I've been using Traktor since 2018...I know I know late bloomer and it seems like NI has been ahead of the curve the entire time....whether it be stems, remix decks, live inputs etc...Super happy they listened to us in their survey...screw subsrictions! TP4 in theory should come out limitless like a hybrid beast firing neural stems with iZotope on deck ie...rx 8. Hardware is crucial....give us plug and play with the option to fully customize. Imagine if Mac and Windows had a baby? Build this shit like a tank. Let's go 4 channel mixer, revamped D2's/x1 with a 8 inch screen...yeah yeah! Good vid for the heads brother. I got on the traktor train late. like 2019. The only reason why I chose traktor is because i needed a new mixer and the z2 was cheaper than any serato mixer. But I love traktor. I just wish the z2 had onboard effects and 8 pads per channel. I get by with the 4, but 8 would be nice. them having the songs with matching keys highlighted in tp3 just made traktor even better for me. I still havent fully utilized the f1 and remix decks. but i keep telling people that traktor is a beast.

Traktor 4 needs to be able to edit tracks cues, loops, grids etc. (and save!!!) like a Sampler/DAW and the Kontrol hardware should infuse the features of the S8 and S4mk3 and Maschine and make it Stand Alone (ASIC) All in one box - this would completely change everything in the dj/producer/performer world... and make it around 1.500 and a mini version around 1000

I see a minor upgrade if one does come out. Mostly to address stems and usage of stem and remix decks. Virtual DJ already has features to split tracks into stems and fairly well. I imagine Traktor Pro to do this and that's it or something updated on BeatPort Link.

Only issue is Rane, Pioneer and Denon cter MORE to Serato and Rekordbox users. But that's an easy fix because of Traktor Nerds and their commitment to midi mapping. I simply switched MIXERS and use a Pioneer S9

One thing I'd absolutely love to see is a standalone traktor unit in the same vain as the numark mixstream, imagine something on those lines running traktor with a simple usb input! Another thing I'd love to see is expanding traktor DJ2 to Android because ffs the platform is more than ready (mixvibes cross pro is seriously onto something) tablets like the galaxy s7 pro are definitely more than capable of being a DJing computer there I said it!

Agreed about subscriptions. NI better not go down that route or I’d probably go back to Serato and link with Ableton for the extra performance features. With hardware I’d like to see an updated Kontrol X1 controller with more cue point buttons like the Pioneer DDJ XP2 but with FX rotary controls too. For software features I’d like to see elastic beat grids and live stem separation as long as they can get it to sound quality. It’s a feature that’s got great potential but I don’t like how it sounds on algoriddim djay

Native Instruments listen to the DJ's An all in one unit for DJ's like the Maschine Plus that is for Producers. Software one time cost for DJ software for a all in one standalone dj hardware, like buying the expansions for the Maschine. As for promotion, let's step away from the normal DJ's, start using a dj who is into learning mastering and showcasing the unit, yes WiFi and streaming, let alone an option to add a storage device. Denon has set the standard, some DJ's will not admit it but I WILL SAY IT !!! NATIVE INSTRUMENT DJ SOFTWARE AND GEAR IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL WHEN IT COMES TO THE LEARNING CURVE, BUT AFTER USING ON A DAY TO DAY, MAKES IT COME TO LIFE. NI or now Sound Wide, whatever iteration of Traktor they are coming out with needs to add some AI feature like Neural Mix to the software. I got the Traktor Kontrol S3 Mk3 but, the crossfader is garbage. There is feedback from the other deck when set to the extreme left or right while the curve is set to full sharp. Have to upgrade to the innofader to fix the problem.

Ni could learn a lot from the virtual DJ camp, they seem to be fairly on point in getting controllers on board. I agree the S4 Mk3 is superb, and its kinda crazy that you really needed the screen hack ho make it what NI should have made it in the first place !!!. Subscription.....ABSOLUTLY NOT, it becomes a bit of a cash cow for a company. I really do hope this is Traktor's time to shine, IMHO i think there's a heck of a lot riding on Traktor 4 its going to be make or brake for sure.

This was one of their problems....They were listening WAY too much to the Producer DJ instead of the DJ DJ. They had a massive amount of success in the turntablism market. DJ Craze was on Traktor!!!!! He was the orignal endorser and leaker of the Z2. And they ignored it....

I have an S4 mkIII but im selling it for a denon prime or RX3 because i can not stand having a laptop and the problems that arise from that. Trakor need a standalone controller, it would be all i'd ever use. Hell, i could even use it in the club then instead of using CDJ's and having to manage TWO library's

I feel it may be too little too late for #Native Instruments. They waited so long but from what I was reading the company was in financial trouble. When they settled it, they still didn't come out with new gear, new software, and no support for the other DJ software. You can't sing it; you have to bring it or get left behind.

At the same time there are features of the s4 mk3 that are specific to the controller that kinda compensate for the negatives. On top of the, in my opinion best, fx routing and processing. The s4 mk3 is also the only controller made by NI that can be used as an analog mixer (super beneficial to my current project) and has motorized jog wheels that feel like vinyl tables. *Haptic Drive*

Traktor should support other gear hardware for djs that use laptops. But... traktor should try to also allow USB flash drive access like rekordbox without a laptop. That is traktors downfall. Alot of djs like just bringing a usb and playing on hardware that supports it like pioneer cdj 2000s or 3000s. If traktor were to allow usb access , then traktor can be relevant again and have a larger share of the market. If traktor can't support cdj 3000s, then they need to make their own controller players with usb access.

Ok. Most people may not be supportive of what I'm going to say about the subscription service. I think that the subscrition service would be a good thing (IF) Traktor support all the hardware like virtual DJ. Then YES. $5.00 a month 60.00 a year. Or $45.00 $50.00 if you pay for the entire year upfront. If Traktor got together with BOME. it would be a wrap as far as compatability across the board. Any way. The subscription makes sense because the company needs money to stay afloat. not money no company. But the hardware support is what's key. For me atleast.

@@DJKeo The flipside to that is that it then gets very confusing and you feel like you are getting nickled and dimed to death. Oh I want access to other controllers, there's a fee. Oh you want access to STEMS, theres another fee. You want Mashine integration there's another fee. You want.... Then people don't know what they need. That being said, I also don't like the idea of paying for a bunch of stuff I'm not going to use. Maybe they should do three versions; Traktor DJ, Traktor Producer and Traktor Pro. The DJ version has a bunch of the Producer stuff stripped out and supports things like Tidal and Sound Switch. The Producer version has STEMs and Mashine intigration. Traktor Pro has everything.

There are a tremendous amount of companies and labels that together could create one hell of a library for non mainstream pushed tracks.
