Did Our Contractor Fix all the Mistakes on this House Flip?

I was very disappointed after seeing this flip a couple of weeks ago and all the things not done by our contractor during the months he has been working on it. I went back to see if he corrected those things!

I liked the green kitchen but it looks way better. Always can look back at videos to see things you didnt see while filming. Deck is great addition.

3:16 I'd first try using a string trimmer and edge the sidewalk IMO. Blast the weeds out. You'd be amazed at how much better that makes a sidewalk look. Then go from there to see if it's worth fixing or whatever. Glad to see some things got fixed. The bathroom still bothers me a bit. lol

The area from the foot of the basement stairs and to its right AND the bathroom ceiling with its pipework would be a deal breaker, IMHO. 🖖🙏

I would do pavers for back walk way. It looks super nice and not too expensive

Not enough attention was paid to the rough plumbing / electric work for the main floor bath. The layout could have been improved. Same said for the Hvac ductwork. Complacency by contractor and project management is to blame

The bedroom closet door looks unfinished without some trim work. Same for the one in the basement.

Hello! 👋🏽 Yeah that bathroom would be an issue for me only bcuz when sitting in the tub I hv to be close to the toilet bcuz my head would be at that end. Too late to fix? 🤔

4:00 That vent, the way it is constructed and actually done is illegal, a violation of fire & safety code, and is a MAJOR deathtrap. It's basically one big giant Carbon Monoxide leak into the home. That's not a "repair" that needs to be done; that's a totally reinstall with new code-compliant ducting. You can't have CO venting duct work that is broken into sections just nailed to the walls, ceilings, floorspaces, attic, etc. Everything has to be sealed to prevent CO leakages and to also allow proper airflow and venting of the gas appliances. Absolutely none of the joints and seams are sealed either.

no not in less than 18 months and then you need anothe water tap at 60k

You are specific when you have a punch list but what about the start of the job? Did you tell the contractor the tile in the bath must go to the ceiling? move the electrical outlet in the bath lower so we can get a bigger mirror in, what exact layout of the upstairs bath did you want, move the light switch so it doesn't cut into the door frame? Etc. Some contractors want to do the least expensive options thinking the owner will be happier spending less money rather than going all out and handing in a big bill. The contractor has no idea what you can sell the house for and what cushion you have. Just saying.

Besides, I want to see how high you are willing to turn up the misery index on poor people in the form of sky high rent so that you can drive around in cars that you can’t really afford.
