Ayyyyye thanks! Yes Gathering Logs can make nice money with JUST the rare drops alone and processing the logs will earn the BEST xp alongside heating Ore since they have a chance to get the plank and the plywood at the same time (free plywood for nothing) then the plywood can be turned into crates to make billions a week!

It's about time they increase the imperial cooking deliveries to 1 per CP. This would double the daily profits while also drastically increasing the demand (meaning, more opportunities for market cooking profit as well). This also translates into higher demand for gathering and node items, which will end up raising in value as well.

I would like if some of the active life skills (gathering, active fishing, farming in particular) had more npc sellable trash drops to bring the income floor up a bit higher. I know it's the lazy and simple solution, but it works for pve so why not?

We technically have trash loot from gathering already. They just need to up the drop rate and/or let us use loot scrolls for gathering as well as increase the value of the trash loot. And honestly I’d rather they do the lazy but tried and true way over trying to get creative at this point cause they can’t be trusted with creative ideas at this point. They should do the same note with active trading and just copy paste bartering on land. Bartering works and is relatively simple to get working. Don’t change something that works.

Gathering select and a few items yes, grinders at the lowest end 750m and qt the highest 1.4 to 1.7bil apparently. It's more of the it doesn't matter where you grind but you can only gather certain things that is kinda a bummer

PA should do a runescape and block some recepies from being produced behind mastery level. that way only high skilled people can produce it and the price increase.

They already have it but the issue then comes with all the lower recipes and materials for them don't matter causing people to not demand it keeping the supply barely moving. I wish it was like EVE or Ultima Online where all the materials matter for all levels and all stages of the game

Even treasure items have to go through mob grinding. The Merchant ring should have a life skilling option, the only option they had (trading) they got rid of it. Why not have other lifeskilling treasures?

Separating them plus giving us 1-1 cp to imperial turn ins would be a good start. They lose nothing from it. An extra 150 mil a day isn’t gonna break the game when I can make that in 15 minutes in most Elvia grind zones. Half the time I don’t even bother to do turn ins cause they just are so little silver that I just can’t be bothered to take the time. If I could make more to justify the time I spend cooking them and boxing them and hauling them to the npc then I’d actually do it.

@raptorRI0T separating them would encourage me to do the other one that day too but it's been month since I've done alchemy turn ins because let's be real, the seal rewards suck. 5k seals for 210mil? And I get that I'd have to turn this into that and knock 3 times on a salt circle blah blah blah just to make more from the alchemy seals but gtfo with that. Mob grinding is simply killing monsters while we have to spreadsheet and min max everything while spending pearls to "have fun" as a lifer. Just completely unfair

ChoNation farms pvp kills on gatherers and spawn areas but Pearl Abyss gave them free advertising in game announcements. To me that sets in stone the direction the game is going. It's also telling that logs have close to 100k orders placed but the price bracket for them dropped.

Not only is life skill dog shit money.. even if you make money.. theres nothing to spend it on.. I've been sitting at 2k mastery with TET manos and floramos earring for 3 years now... the past 300B i've made has gone to combat gear which I don't even use. Idk hard to agree with you outside of money per hr going down. Things are more available, so it's fair that prices are coming down. Lifeskilling profit is supply and demand. If demand outstrips supply prices come down. Sinks and sources in this game are generally really good. I'm a mass producer and the changes were Excellent for me. Guru cooking, alchemy, processing, trading... the only reason to go past g50 is for the medal. Too many people were able to finish and the rankings became pointless. U don't have to p2w to be a good lifeskiller you just need to specialize into 1-3 products. If your whole empire is designed to make an item it will be profitable for you to produce. Now that lifeskills are universal I can have meta lifeskillers in all the meta spots. Hunting improved, farming improved cuz now I can send a useless person to the ideal farming spot.

Can I pre order the hedgehog or llama on the central market? How about ANY of the Costumes for Lifeskilling, Crystal Presets, worker lodgings, storages, or artifact slots on the Central Market? Sure you don't have to be p2w to play the game and all but then you limit what you do to those who spend the money. The whole thing I'm complaining about is how much Lifeskilling has to have REAL money spent on it to get a little back that a mob grinder makes where the mob grinder is given everything in game. I guess I'm just old school and enjoy the MMO's where Lifeskilling had more of an importance in the economy opposed to Black Desert being afk in the background!

While I agree that lifeskilling is not in the best place right now it’s a lot better than it was. Secondly. If you’re making sub 100 mil an hour gathering you’re gathering the wrong stuff. I can pull 300 mil an hour with no effort gathering. The bigger issue is if I want to cash in on that silver I have to pay real money for a VP. If they allowed lifeskillers the ability to make silver actually F2P like pvers then lifeskills would improve a lot.

When i watched this i kind of thought you were being a bit dramatic, but youre right its ridiculous. Im back after a break and did oluns for the first time and made almost billion in an hour... FROM JUST THE TRASH LOOT! But today I decided to just fool around I built my manos gatherer's clothes, did some of alustin's alchemy journal, some of the lifeskill quests (road to guru) got some delotia, got herbs, just played around in general while training my free dine and it felt like I was wasting my time after the novelty of not playing or lifeskilling in a while wore off. I feel like you really should only lifeskill when there are events for drops. Granted im not the highest mastery (1200 w tet tools) i mqde nothing. Getting like 3 logs or rough stone per gather is bad and all the other stuff is worthless because of people's worker empires. Precious metal ore and gemstones being almost worthless makes mining feel bad. When i was doing the alustin journal for 1500 tenacious origins i would be better off just buying from herb vendors because i was getting black gem fragments / sharps so rarely they barely added up. They really need to add more gather only stuff you cant get from afking like the everlasting herb

I Got rng carried and got 2 gathering item drop rate increase artifacts from the same loggia farm tree fluid extract. Im console and those are new to me. I kept a lara tea buff on and an old lotml meal with gathering item drop% buff. I was fooling with loot scrolls and t wondering if they made them affect gather drops. Do they now? But t5 hedgehog i somehow got a base version of when i started bdo when i had covid vacation in 2021. When t5s came out my guild was all about others but i knew who to level up :) You should do a mastery/max drops video! Its kinda mysterious. Im in a guild that wins node wars and no one really understands breakpoints or ratios on heating BMCs for magical shards When i came back i had over 200 BMC preorders filled so i made some lifeskill mastery crystals for my lifeskill crystal loadout but it kinda feels pointless like i said getting 3 fucking logs a chop +1 from the pet even when buffed up

Yeah I may not life will much. Yet here and there I do feel like life killing for the players that enjoy it should get some buffs. Like 3+ new characters that can lifestyle and just be supporters in combat. Like there are many npc like small creatures of bdo that could be added as playable characters and be like the Shai. They have otters, papus, bunnies, and turtle people. They can have many various different life skill jobs like cooking processing and gathering. And maybe gain stuff for each area better like the witches delicacies. Also add more exchangeable to those as well

I never understood the people who liked walking to a tree, press R, see a line fill and feel good about it. Even in one of my nintendoDS games lifeskilling was 100x more fun then in bdo. Every life skill had a series of small minigames to it (cooking: chopping carrots, heating the water etc.) which was fun enough. In stead of making 8000 food while afking, lets say you were making 400 food but with more value and you were actually playing the game.

But regardless I think you can agree that fun is subjective to the individual. And you’re absolutely right. Theres nothing wrong with an activity being BOTH fun and rewarding. I just think that one doesn’t mean the other. Now if your frustration does come from the lack of reward (and I believe that’s what you’re ranting about and completely entitled to) then I agree. Pearl Abyss operates like a broken compass. Whatever direction its pointing in today, is their primary focus and march aimlessly. I think they are moving away from Life Skilling as a primary source of fun and income in the game. It is getting dumbed down where less and less focus is required. I believe they are hard focusing on what crowd they can keep, in game. Teddy, you know the vast majority of Life Skillers left years ago.

Man you keep preaching like this I’ll have to join your church. I’m a whale as is the rest of the house who play. 65 year old 12k in. Me 6k in wife 4k in. We don’t mind spending if we enjoy the game. We stopped spending when they failed to give us winter region. We love this game. There is a lot worse out there. We love lifeskills. Hunting- we need the other half of morning light. Gathering not bad on console if you focus on the market. Cooking- meals are ok , alchemy in some cases cost me money lol, sailing impossible to level but totally chill, bartering love it it is money finally with last update. Farming love it a lot of passive money if you follow the market. Fishing has always been money if you can leave your game on and create your own hotspot. I was in a game with zero pay to win I loved it but at a point time moved on as it became outdated people moved on and no money for updates. I am happy to pay to win if it means the game keeps improving and updating. I grind to buy the best gear to avoid the stress of enhancing. I lost guild people due to enhancement. I’m geared and now working on lifeskill gear - manos. I will grind 2 hours max a day , I’m kinda burned out. I will lifeskill the rest. I will say it took 12 bill in game money and 1 month to see profit in bartering. Thanks again for the video.

ESO is just too costly- meaning psn monthly then eso pass thing to get all the dlc and then limitless bag , then I get to play, if you don’t have all the tables it can take 2 years to get them all. At least with bdo buy the game and play. Pay to win if you want or don’t, the game is still playable. I’m thankful for bdo and its content creators like you. I'm fine with it. Free 500m a day doing literally nothing but cooking crates and fishing. Something to lean on while I'm burnt out and playing something else. At the end of the day, it's all just pixels on a screen man. I have a rule for myself, once i hit a point in a game where my complaining outweighs my enjoyment, i play something else. I'm 40, been gaming since childhood and i never once allowed pixels on a screen to sour my day, if my game becomes a burden then i take it as a sign that i need to unplug and go touch grass for a while. Besides, There's lots of things in life worth stressing over, pixels on a screen is not one of them. In this modern gaming landscape developers are damned if they do, damned if they don't, it's become fashionable for the fans to assume they get to dictate the end product, when in reality, if the end product pisses you off, you can always go elsewhere. I've invested a lot of time into BDO, but zero real life dollars, i don't care about efficiency so cash shop items are meaningless, i play the game with a market loss on sales, no special outfits for cooking, alchemy or farming and i really don't care, because it's all just pixels on a screen man, efficiency only matters if you make it matter. Anyway, protests over pixels in my opinion is a bit dramatic, the people doing the Shai protest are probably the same type of person who took monopoly too seriously growing up, it's absurd.

But lifeskilling was never meant to be the main source of progress in the game. It never has been. Yes they should make it more rewarding but it was always aimed towards a more passive play style with grinding being the main source of income.

Try playing stardew valley or runescape. That is why there are game genres. A single game cannot do all. Obviously, the game prioritizes grinding and pvp. The game developers cannot cater to all the needs and wants of all players.

Shared life skills is a life skilling nerf, always was. Gathering can never be directly buffed again (at least significantly), buffs for gathering must now come through buffing Cooking - Alchemy and they will always dumpster both of them every once in a while with some random event.

Ahh yes another lifeskiller crying about not making asmuch as someone with higher risk while grinding, gotta love it, playing a game that is build around open world pve/pvp with an awesome combat system and then wondering why AFK systems like lifeskilling are not the focus of the company. Geee i wonder why :X Lifeskills in BDO where and will never be a way to make more silver/or close to it then grinding cause they are optional systems to have a way to make money while afk. If you really think Lifeskills should make more silver then they do at the moment, you need to rethink it. Cause if they actually did it, prices would drop even more and again you would make less cause alot more people would just AFK aswell cause why bother with a higher risk while grinding and stuff if I can just afk and make money.

Where I understand what you're saying, look at the other side. Whether it's PVE or PVP, different forms of elixirs, components and meals are utilized in the game that someone has to make right. If you are pushing for the most efficient grind session, typically you should be buffed to the max. Where the physical process of making the item can be afk, yes. Its gathering all this nonsense in a game that doesn't have a huge selection of gatherable nodes (not mobs/animals) for the important ingredients. BDO failed in this area, much like Ultima Online in the 90s. Truffle Mushrooms; like eight gatherable nodes in Odyllita with a ten minute respawn timer. You might say, channel swap. I reply with, how many other people are trying to gather the same item. Physical gathering takes a lot of time with little reward. The market should revert back to a more capitalistic approach for consumables. You need these items that were hand crafted, pay the asking price. If not, oh well.

@@thedoughnut8500 Okay, while I get your point that still does not make it make sense that AFK/semi-afk lifeskilling should make the same amount of silver/hour than active grinding. I mean just look at the Input difference, you have to do next to nothing while gathering, there is no risk in it aswell besides maybe getting pked by a random, where besides loosing maybe a buff you dont loose anything of value. I agree that we need lifeskillers, never said I dont but its just delusional to want to make the same silver/hour or close to what grinders make. I do agree that BDO failed in the area you mentioned with the lack of nodes etc. And yeah truffle is a big shitshow for lifeskillers. So is grinding Best silver/hour spots. and FYI i make my consumables my self and i dont think you want the market to revert. Cause guess what, most people would either not use the consumables, or just farm them themself and stock up.

No one said anything about AFK lifeskilling. Why does it ALWAYS HAVE to be afk this or afk that. Im talking about being active. I get it im not some big brain dead mob grinder only capable of understanding grunts and slamming my face in the keyboard but that shouldn't be the ONLY thing in the game that rewards you. Nothing being said about making more or on par just make 120mil for 2hrs of active play is disheartening
