I like Pikmin 1 the most out of the three. The simplicity of searching for the ship parts was the most interesting objective to me. I really like the treasures in 2, but did not care for the caves, I'm hoping caves aren't most of the game again in 4.

I had no clue about the Pikmin saga up until a couple weeks back, when my friends started spamming one of the enemy's as an emoticon. I was curious to check what the game and all the fuzz surrounding it was about. I downloaded both Pikmin 1 and 2 and decided to give them a try on PC with mouse and keyboard controls... I smoked (100%) both games in less than a week, bought Pikmin 3 Deluxe and pre ordered Pikmin 4. 10/10 Nintendo's greatest fucking game

Been playing Pikmin 1 on my Switch lately, wonderful game. i got to, like, day 27 and was only at 19 parts so I just skippde the last few days to see the bad ending because I knew I wouldn't be able to attain it. I started a new save file yesterday and am doing much better-- I find the game is easier once you have a general grasp on its mechanics. I think it's aged fairly well. It's a wonderful game.

Fun fact: Olimar isn’t one for valance as notes in Hey Pikmin explain, we only see his aggressive side as it’s for self defense against the wildlife of PNF-404. (Or eventually snapping at Louie in the epilogue of Pikmin 3 Deluxe side stories.)

Pikmin 1 is my favorite pikmin game. The 30 day time limit keeps it fresh and engaging. 2 is good and i liked it but it doesnt hook me as well due to the fact that there is an unlimited amount of days.

For what it’s worth, the original Metroid on the NES was kinda known to be rough around the edges. That’s why everyone was so stoked on Super Metroid: they fixed the issues and fleshed out the concept.

Emperor Bublax is a great final boss if you don't use bomb rocks against it. It genuinely feels like an all out war against a giant behemoth, and I think I honestly love it just as much as the Titan Dweevil.

I personally couldn't beat him using bombs. I just couldn't swap to bombs without opening up all of my pikmin to attack. I found it easier to just throw from the side

I wouldn't really say that the game aged badly I remember always hating the small details of Pikmin not obeying you, tripping and stopping movig for extremely long amounts of time, needing to hold the whistle for a while on a Pikmin for it to hear it, fire being a damn near insta-kill because of it, Wollywog hit detection and Pikmin falling trough the ground due to glitches and dying to The Void So yeah I think those were bad from the get go

the gamecube version is superior not only for the controls (get good) but the final boss is easier since it doesn't have the issue where yellow pikimn hold bomb rocks after being whistled. You're supposed to leave a pikmin on the ground and whistle them to drop the bomb so the emporer bulblax hurts itself, it just doesn't work at all in the wii version because of the small change.

constructive feedback: make sure to level the audio between the video-sections and the dubbed sections. Your video sections are much louder. The audio for the dubs is very good, but it just isn't as loud. I would use a compressor or a limiter to get it all to the same perceptual loudness.

10:35 it's actually possible to do this on a GameCube controller too, by getting pikmin onto the box and then using the c stick to guide them over to the back. Harder, but still works.

Its soley due to the fact they can carry things over water, blue pikmin can still go deep underwater which no other can which I don't think enough people consider

@@8bitalien647 It’s because you only need blues for _fully submerged_ objects. Objects sitting in shallow water can be air lifted, and enemies in water are only really a threat when you’re in water You don’t bring blues because they’re convenient. You bring blues because you need an HM slave

I would say Pikmin 1 aged somewhat badly. I feel that way because of how bad the Pikmin AI is in the first game. Pikmin aren't very smart in the first game getting stuck while going around corners and things like that that make handling them very annoying. The improvements to the Pikmin AI in 2 and 3 make 1 hard to go back to in my opinion. It's like night and day.
