The game can feel sexist becsuse especially in the RPG series, Peach was a pretty composed character given her circumstances. There's nothing wrong with being emotional, but it just wasnt Peach. I could have seen the game working with Daisy better, honestly, since she's the one known for being a bit of a short tempered hothead. Though a game with Daisy screaming all the time might not have sold well 😅

Of these, I played Unlimited on 3DS as a child. It was a good time, but I wouldn't go back to beat it until I was older.

Premature comment because I also just discovered the existence of We Cheer. I'm pretty sure that the dance minigame from Go Vacation's original wii version is based on the We Cheer games, it has the exact same UI for the movements. In other news, thank you so much for covering this game! It changed my life and is still my favourite game of all time, and it makes me really sad that it doesn't get much attention online.

I never owned a wii but when I was 11/12 I had a friend who did. And she and I absolutely ADORED this game! We didn't even really play the minigames all that much. We just loved exploring every last nook and cranny of the resorts. Racing each other from one end of the map to the other. Trying to complete the fetch quests with our limited knowledge of the english language. Discovering cool places like the crystal cave in the snowy mountain. Unlocking different outfits. Decorating our villas to our heart's content. We played this game religiously during every play date at her house. We even passed notes to each other during class, discussing what part of which resort we would explore next. And now you're telling me I can relive it all on my switch?! This really makes me feel a special kind of happiness.

Sonic Heroes.. may be hated, buggy, repetitive, and whatever you want, but it will always be one of my favorite Sonic games, Its good points for me overshadow any flaws it may have. And yes, I prefer it more than Sonic Frontiers, and even more so than several games that came out during the Dark/Meta era, in my personal opinion

I actually had Unlimited on my 3DS. Some of the MOST fun I've had playing such an open game. The term "Rideable" and "Immortal" is probably carved into my poor 3DS's memory by now.

The most familiar thing I know about this game is there is a music album Namco made associated with the game where they made a love song about Blinky and Clyde being in love with each other... that means gay couples are canon in Pac-Man and that's amazing and I love it. I think it's called something like Namco Go Vacation music thingy.

The jungle, forest, and snowcap levels were pretty nice, and the soundtrack is great. Pac-Man himself is quite cute and expressive. That's about it for me. The volcano, ocean, and spooky boardwalk levels were so badly designed and cumbersome that I wonder if anyone even play-tested this game before its release. The falling platforms in the volcano level drove me completely fucking INSANE. It felt rushed like the other 2 PMW games did. At least the spindash/rev roll move was actually useful in PMW3, though, as the player could jump while Pac-Man was rev-rolling. That made it MUCH easier to reach distant platforms. In PMW2, on the other hand, Pac-Man might as well not have this ability. You either overshoot or undershoot a platform that's as thin as a pencil, sending you to a bottomless pit of doom. The ocean levels just dragged on forever and ever as I'd just run into nearly every underwater mine, shark, etc because no one bothered to see whether there was too much clutter to dodge in these levels. That's where the whole play-testing thing (or lack thereof) rears its ugly head in this title. I nearly quit on the game entirely when I got to the Pac-Submarine level. It was super sloppy, with unavoidable walls of mines just dumped all over the place. Just like PMW1, it was less about providing an entertaining gaming experience and more about making the game as tedious as possible because someone at namco assumed that "tedium = good gameplay". In fact, none of these games were really critically acclaimed. The fundamental problem with these games is that there's no reason for them to be Pac-Man games. This trilogy could've starred a brand-new character instead. It didn't help that namco rushed these games out, leading to a lack of play-testing and resulting poor level design. That's why so many people hollered about these games being mediocre. Quite a few gaming publications and internet users called the PMW trilogy a slipshod attempt to shove a video game character from a bygone era into a genre where he didn't fit. I like the fact that namco tried to do something new with this series, and I think it's ridiculous to expect the same maze game over and over. But, I could see where the critics were coming from. I felt that the PMW games were standard 3D platformers that were dressed in a Pac-Man skin, complete with frustrating gameplay. I enjoyed not only the original arcade game, but also Pac-Mania, Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness, and Pac-Man Adventures In Time far more. Heck, I even liked Pac-Man 2 better than PMW1 & 2. I'll give PMW3 credit for having such absurdly goofy dialogue and voice acting that I could somewhat overlook that game's glaring flaws. Plus, the sound design and ambient sound effects in that game were all very immersive, aside from the music randomly stopping for no reason (that's the "sloppiness" part rearing its ugly head once again). Now, if only PMW3 hadn't been so repetitive and had more than 2 bosses (1, technically speaking).

I bought the megapack on the switch recently and have been playing through it slowly but surely. I didn't know it was on the Wii U, or I would have bought it on there. I love my Wii U, I play it all the time. I have yet to play Unmasked, but I am a huge DC fan, so I'm excited to play even after hearing your review. Part of the reason I wanted to buy it in the first place is because one of my favorite semi-obscure DC characters is in it. I figured out a way to get the touch pad control on the switch, but there's no way to play it docked/on a television. As of 2 years since this video was posted, Scribblenauts unlimited is still technically on the Google Play store but outdated for newer versions of Android like my phone model. Very fun little series! Sad to see it fizzled out, but it lived its course.

There are good Pac-Man racing games, actually. Ridge Racer Type 5 Ridge Racer V Ridge Racer 6 Ridge Racer 7 Mario Kart Arcade GP & DX If you want good racing games with Pac-Man in them, then play those instead.

12:20 I can civally disagree! I don't think Sonic needs super deep complex stories either but I don't think comedic based storylines are a good foundation either. It worked in Colors, but as an overall direction, it fell apart to me because it removes the tension from the plot and trivializes the "cool" factor that Sonic games were always going for. I dont mind lighthearted stuff though and Heroes is a good example of that!

Going to have to hard disagree with this one - easily one of my favourite games to this day. Sure, it has its problems but overall I prefer the feel of LM2 compared to 3 actually (still prefer 1 overall) and I am a firm believer it had the best combat of all three of the games. Loved it when I replayed it over the summer on switch, it definitely holds up. I feel like the community still isn't passed the 'LM2 bad' phase when I do think some of the changes made (although not all) are actually for the better, such as the dark light and combat (obviously the lack of character ghosts was a real let down but its still fun). Out of all the games to say that are bad, this one is hardly it - it's not as good as the first game but it is still very charming in its own right and one that I do replay fairly often.
