Hope that Rhett does a proper review on his channel? The natural resonances produced by this guitar are really intriguing. The platform for the pickups makes a difference. The guitar seems to have its own thing as far as the sound? Didn’t come across as a total Tele clone. Love that you guys are pushing at the boundaries of materials, but keeping a traditional vibe. Keep pushing!

It's really cool you guys took us all on your trip. When I just started watching your content, you were just over 5k, having people from Rhett Shull's channel checking out your content would most likely up those numbers too. In a couple of years from now, you will be looking back thinking about how happy you where with 14k being at a totally different number. The number doesn't really matter, it's the fun you have while doing it.

Holy eargasm, Batman! Chris, it's blatantly obvious you craft some of THE MOST stunning guitars in the world, and that applies to your acoustics AND electrics now.. but your devotion and passion regarding innovation, voicing techniques, and overall attention to every detail, has resulted in astonishing tone, beautifully-resonate harmonic characteristics, and certain tonal aspects that are limited to an extremely exclusive group of highly sought after guitars! Seriously Chris and Matt, you guys are creating something special.. and I feel like I've understated its significance. You both should feel incredibly proud of what you've accomplished, and prepare for where it will potentially take you! The amp you were given on the way to Rhett's is killer! Sounds great and looks super cool! Sending peace & love from Missouri -Todd

I only found your channel about two weeks ago and have been following the 3000 Year Old Guitar build. I am loving the channel. What I like about your design values is the assertion that to be good plugged in, an electric guitar also needs to be superb acoustically and superb acoustically first. I've been a player, not a builder for nearly 50 years and was coached by a great teacher early in my life to always audition electrics unplugged first. That process has never let me down and for the few that I bought over the internet without playing them first, I have been both lucky and not. Same make and same model shipped the same week can sound very different acoustically. This is a beautiful looking instrument that sounds great and from this great distance sounds amazing. No relic fakery and I'm really impressed. Perhaps someday you can sell one to a certain fellow in Canada Thank you for the incredible work

Did some research regarding the D tubes since I was curious. Maple wood (silver to sugar respectively) has a Modulus of Elasticity (MOE) ranging from 7.9 to 12.6msi (million lbs per square inch). The carbon fiber for those D tubes has an MOE of 33msi. So the increases are in the order of 2.6 to 4.2 times stiffer than the maple alone. Also carbon fiber is a lot less susceptible to the effects of time and/or cycles under tension (aka creep stress) in a less that ideal environment. 100ish lbs of string pull isn't much but over of lots time and humidity fluctuations it will shift. I think it's interesting that sugar maple is the stiffest... possibly due to the crystallization of the sap fortifying the wood fibers? I do know if that's the reason, but if so, then it's gaining stiffness much in the same way that the resin is fortifying the carbon fibers.

If you compare growth rings of sugar maple to other types of maple, sugar maple’s rings are incredibly tight. There is a massive weight difference between two similar sized boards. Interesting thought about the sugar content of the board, I hadn’t considered that.

I have one guitar out of 15 that has a great resonance that you can truly feel throughout the body and is very loud unplugged. Interestingly enough, it was made in a custom shop in China, of all places. My other guitars are your typical Fender's, Gibson's, and custom builds etc...They all sound great and are expensive, but the China one tops them all as far as resonating. So I get what Rhett is saying. It will be nice to see what he has to say about it on his channel. I hope he is fair and objective. Like Donkey said, only a true friend would be honest.
