Yes, it is a problem with the English language. It should be "Did Richard and the Banker from Deal Or No Deal bury a badger," but, unfortunately, we can basically structure our sentences how we want, although there is a more correct way to avoid confusion, as I said.

Steven Deaville, I wouldn't necessarily say there's a huge talent going to waste (just my opinion). It would be great to see him host his own show but I personally find him to be at his best when he has almost a "free reign" to say and do what he wants. And that usually happens when he isn't restricted to the boundaries that would be set in place if he was the main host/presenter. Case in point: about a year after Jeremy Clarkson left Top Gear, Clarkson was hosting some panel show (i forget which one but u can find the clip of it on here) and Richard Osman was a guest on one of the panels. During the entire show Richard repeatedly tore shreds through Clarkson and the latter did not have a comeback whatsoever. If Richard was hosting, his main role would be to keep the format of the show on track and all the other things that come with it rather than let loose.

Oh, is that it? I mean, I know that (that he is an asshole), but I thought the meaning of the joke was more elaborate! Thank you anyway!! :D
@toolworks10 жыл бұрын
11Apr19Apr I think the intended meaning was that the Banker works with Noel, so he obviously wouldn't be with him if he was on holiday (a break from work), but the other panelists seem to have taken the meaning to be an insult towards Noel's disposition.
@Mst3kfan19949 жыл бұрын
toolworks Well, I think it was more because Richard ALSO used to work on the show with the banker, so the story was about co-workers going on holiday together. Edmonds, also being a co-worker, would've fit that pattern as well. If they then excluded him to actually go on "a holiday", it likely emphasizes that he's troublesome to be around.
@wildman19229 жыл бұрын
A holiday is supposed to be fun. Richard is joking that Noel Edmonds is annoying by implying it would not be fun if Noel was there.
